Hello! The link to see your dog is not wokring for me but Im sure its beautiful. I have two dogs , a german shepard mix and an american eskimo. I speak a little Russian myself seeing as its my foreign language in school. Im going into my third year. :)
Basset_Lover Yes we show, we're now in a Junior class, in september we're going to have a specialty of schnauzers, usually we have at least one show per month, sometimes even 2 or 3. My dog is rather smart, he always gets what he wants, he's very sly:)))) I can't say what breed is the most popular in Russia, I'll try to find who's population in Russia is among the most biggest.
sbz, yes he looks big, but he just looks so:))) though he is young, but is very wide for his ages, and he's got a big head (that's very good for him), besides his tail also makes him look a little bigger:))))
Thaks you all for such kind words!!!
Is there a special topic for schnauzer owners?:0 Here in Russia on our forums we usually have different breed topics where we just talk about everything connected with our pets, share pictures, discuss problems and so on.
Hey Ksusha! I am also originally from Russia, St.Petersburg to be exact, but my family immigrated here about 18 years ago, when I was 9. What part are you from? Your dog is very cute, and a popular breed in Russia. You could see that he is well taken care of, and a really great looking dog ! I would say that the topfive most popular breeds in Russia are, or at least were
Wire haired terrier..the large kind
any kind of maltese-looking dog (older ppl)
German shepherd ( this is the "cool" dog to have)Most russians believe that these dogs are ment to be agressive, and therefore do not require to be "part of the family" and live outside...all times of the year.(thankfully, when we had one, my family didnt see it that way, ours was spoiled rotten, and slept in my bed)
And doberman (everyone had one at some point)
And then there are the poodles
This is as far as I can remember, then come the other breeds..starting with cockers.
