I have a 10 week old golden retriever and have had her for a week. She was de-wormed on 7-16, & has had her first round of shots. She is playful and sweet, but as of tonight started acting WEIRD. She was almost spaztic, twirling around in circles when she was about to go poop, and is itching nonstop (just bathed her with "sensitive skin puppy shampoo" yesterday...), acts agitated, is panting, and calmed down for about an hour when I turned the air on, but now is acting crazy again--restless (at 1 a.m., past her bedtime), and is trying to dig any and everywhere, even in the carpet. She cannot get situated. I dont know how else to explain it, but am I over-reacting? Or should I take my puppy to the vet? What could possibly be making her freak out? Warm weather? Dehydration? Thanks for your responses...
I've never experienced anything like that with my dogs.. you should take her to the vet to get checked out. or just watch her closely and if she dosnt stop by tomoro i would take her to the vet. Good Luck!

Maybe it's the puppy spazzies? When my pup was a baby she'd be acting normal then all of a sudden freak out... run around like a maniac, playing and putting her mouth onto everything, toys, hands, stairs, etc.
I know you said your puppy has been wormed, but I would definitely keep an eye out for roundworms. The roundworm treatment needs to be repeated if you see any signs. My sister's puppy had to be treated THREE times before they got rid of the worms. The way your puppy was "twirling" before going to the bathroom makes me think something is bothering his bottom, and it's most likely worms. If he has had fleas before you got him, then tapeworm is a possibility also. It would be a good idea to get a vet to check that, because they can have tapeworms and you may never see them. Good luck...let us know how he does.
