From today's paper: NEW BREED puppies: Westiehuahuas, all males $225, Call Tina ***-***-**** I would like to know how many suckers will really think this is a new breed. I should call and ask some questions and see what she says.

Not fixed I really love that someone in the Orlando area is wanting breed more wolf mutts. NOT! These were just ones posts on the newspaper internet site today. Doesn't it make you feel sooooo nice that the POP so you can see that they will probably be breeding again in the future. It is such a same. I searched for months before getting my puppy 2 weeks ago. I went to the pound and found my mutt. What are these people doing? I mean really look at the prices! I will never understand this.
Today at work, the owner of our company was looking in the "Pet" section of our local newspaper. He wanted to know what the heck a labradoodle was because it was $1200. I just laughed and said an expensive designer mutt that you can get at the local shelter for practically nothing. He laughed when I said designer mutt but I told him there are lots out there and some people think they are a rare breed.
Unfortunately people are obviously unaware that these are not real breeds and truely beleive a mutt means less health problems! Not true at all! In fact you will find that a mix is being bred for money only, not for the love of any breed and finding out whether they are healthy or not and whether they are of any real breeding quality or temperment doesn't matter to them, it just takes $ back out of their pocket so they don't do any testing. Heck it wouldn't matter if they did test they would breed them with the health and temperment problems anyways!
I had a lady call me and ask if I could breed her a "white golden schnoodle". My reactions were: 1. NOT! 2. I have no idea HOW to make one of those! 3. If I knew how, WHY would I do that? 4. Are you kidding?? Turns out it was my husband's secretary...he had her play an April Fool's joke on me. He came home the evening of April 1 and I was ranting about this woman and her request, and he doubled over laughing, the rat. He knows I'm pretty sensitive about breeding anyway, and especially MY babies! Apparently though, he had seen on the internet where someone was advertising this "breed", a cross of Golden retriever, standard schnauzer and poodle! Don't get me started! :)
At the store where I got my puppy (once again, I know I know, pet stores are bad!), they were selling cockapoos and maltipoos for $500 and up. It's sickening. Not only mutts, but at a pet shop and overpriced! They deserve a good life, but someone needs to stop making these lives so not so many dogs have to lose them.
