I have a full bred female Pomeranian that I bred with another full bred male Pom. The male stud has papers and registered and my female does not but is full bred Pomeranian. I mated her and just found out she is Pregnant and I am wondering how much I can sell the Pups for? Somebody please help me i am so lost.
I have no idea. When I look for pups if they don't have papers I pass them by. Papers are important to me. I would not pay very much for a dog without papers even if they are purebred to the best of your knowledge. I have seen mixed dogs that I would not have known they were mixed if the person did not tell me some pups come out looking like a purebred, but is not. I like to know the dogs past and without papers you cant get a pedigree.
Without being registered, I wouldnt ask alot, but nominal enough that you will get responsible people to give them homes. I would never advertise for free. I would suggest between 50-100. Your best bet is to try to get papers on her, what registry is the male?
Thank you all very much. I do not have any pics of my baby on the computer at the moment. But, I can tell you that she is a Gorgeous Black Pomeranian. Somebody said to try and get papers for her, how do I go about doing that? I would love to have papers for her if I can get them. If you can help me, Please reply!!
Thank you, but i paid $250.00 for her and she is worth every penny and then some. Papers really do not mean much to me but evidently some people care more about the papers than their animal! The parents were purebred Pomeranians and they were on the premis when i purchased her. And about breeding her again, maybe i will and maybe i wont!
I dont care about papers. I have a boston with papers my uncle gave him to me (they are sitll under his name and we have had him for almost a year) and i have a jackrussle with no papers but i love them both. I didnt even want the papers on my boston he just said here are his papers sighn this and send it in
If you want papers on her you can go to the place you got her and ask for them if the mom and dad wereregestered they wil be able to get the papers for her then you can put papers on the pups. Not to many people care about papers anymore my freind breeds bich-tzus and they ask for the pups and have never said anythign about papers (she suprised one lady by handing her the papers the lady didnt think about it and i guess didnt care)
First of all I would have never breed a dog without papers. I would not breed a dog just because it has papers. Breeding should have a purpose - to improve the breed or line and I can't think of any other reason.
I am intending to breed a specific female to a specific male. Both are show dogs and both are from a long line of champions. The male was chosen specifically because the owner of the female's kennel would like to introduce his blood into her lines as she thinks it will improve on what she is already producing.
I believe you shouldn't breed just because you can.
first of all renoey, i am not breeding just because i can. I love my baby dearly and would never do anything to harm her. the stud is from a champion bloodline also. I am just asking for the fact that she has as many pups in there as they think she does and i can not keep them all. one pup the studs parents definately want and i want to keep one also. i have had a few inquires about the pups and cost of them if i am going to sell them. that is the only reason i came on here, not to get ridiculed because i bred my Pom WITHOUT HER HAVING PAPERS!
A champion bloodline means nothing unless the dog itself is a champion. Even then no good breeder would stud out their dog to a unregistered/untitled bitch. I just think you should have looked into this more BEFORE the breeding and maybe gone after a papered dog if you wanted to breed.
Papers are important when buying a dog. If you are looking for a purebred you want the best quality of that breed. You want a dog whose family history you can trace back and see what champions are in it, etc.
If there are no papers there is no way to know for sure that the dog is a purebred, that the dog came from healthy/champion lines, so on and so forth.
Did you at least get your dog tested before breeding her?
Hi,I just bought a pure pom to day hes a red sable and I live in ohio but here with out papers there running a bout 300.00-600.00 and with papers 800.00-1000.00 so I guess it depends on the area where you live hope this helps
Andbooker, what part of ohio do you live in? In the mansfield news journal, you can get: Pomeranian Puppies, ACA Black and Furry. $200 each. and that's with them have at least some papers. There's also a rescue Pom for $100.
Just to let you know, I did have my dog checked out very carefully before I chose to breed her. He is the one that gave me the go ahead and then and only then did I contact the Stud's parents! Do you think I would jeopradize the health of my Baby? Some of you on here are just unreal with your comments! I asked one question and got totally ridiculed about breeding my pet. Do you all ever stop and think about how you make others feel? why do you think that you are all so great and you should be the only ones breeding? My Pom will be under close eye of her Vet when she is ready to deliver incase something is to go wrong. I choose it this way so if anything were to go wrong he would be right there. Thank you to all of you who have been descent and nice to me here, and to the rest of you................ well, you know what you all can do! ;)
Oh, and a big thank you to "Andbooker" from Ohio who actually gave me a descent answer!!!! without any other comments except an answer to what i had asked!!
You're an amateur breeder, I can tell by your questions. You have no business breeding. Facts are facts, sorry if your offended. I fall into the same category as you, only I am smart enough to know I shouldn't do it.
