My mom uses some stuff from Walmart that is an odor neutralizer/stain remover. I can't think of the name right now, but you might look in your pet section at Walmart and see what's available. It's made especially for pet stains.
I found this wonderful product called "Pet Absorb" on QVC. It turns liquid to solid crystals. You just sprinkle it on and wait 2 minutes and sweep or vacuum it up. It brings the urine to the surface so that it doesn't get in the padding of your carpet, plus it deoderizes. If there's an old stain, just wet it with water & use this and it works just as well. It has saved my carpets thru the challenging potty training stage.
This guy definitely needs crate training, as well as NILIF and obedience training. He should be neutered if he isn't already. Check "I Need Advice" on the Forum main page - there are some really good links in the answers.
My hubby is in the flooring business, and says most of those store bought cleaners don't work so great and can damage your carpet. It is expensive, but professional steam cleaning is the best way to go. However, that will not remove urine from the carpet pad.
I saw this comercial on tv i think it is called Zero Pet Oder. seems to work well. Try the 99 cent store their is this special spray for pets I got something like that their haven't tryed it yet but if not it is just 99 cents.
Where do you walk your dog to potty? I was walking mine down the block, letting her mark in the neighborhood and was told by a behaviorist to confine her potty trips to her back yard, stop all walks for awhile, and that would get her to extinguish her marking behavior. So thats what Im doing, anyway. Additionally, she is now, never out of my sight when indoors. If I cant watch her, she's in the crate.
Ive been using this powder product that works very well, it absorbs the urine and you vaccuum it up. Google planeturine. My carpet is white also. Additionally, I use an enzyme product like natures miracle for the odor.
HI I own 3 english-bulldogs one of wich is a breeding male he loves to mark his territory!! On my carpets i use a cleaner called OUT!! the web site is www.outinternational.com i put this in my carpet cleaner and it works wonders that and white vinagar to keep the puppy or dog from being able to detect where he / she has already gone works wonders!!!!!!!!!!1
OH OH, my rotten son, Bobby, did his business on one of my walls the other day. I was in the other room, so I didn't see it, but I know he lifted his leg to do it. Instead of telling him about it. The paint is white, I took out the Clorox spray and sprayed it in front of him on that wall. He has been turning yellow lately I have noticed, but he doesn't mark in my house. Ha that little (big) stinker!!!!
