Then I took him out to go potty and he tooked the longest pee and his first happy poop in ages lol. He's finally switched over to Innova, he's a very happy pooper now. But anyway!!!! When we came inside he ran, well, walked fast, to my room and tried to get into his crate but the collar was in his way. So I took it off and he got in and layed down -then I just layed it on him so he can't touch down there.
OH lifeofriley, I am so sorry!!! Really!! I know how hard it is to see your baby in such a state. I had an English Spinger Spaniel female, Maggie, she lived to be 15, she was spayed as a pup. She too was quite the actress. I Know they will do all they can to make you feel like the worst Mommy in the world they will. BE STRONG GIRL! If you need anything, I will try to help.
I'm not sure what kind of anesthia they used. They said he should be fine in the morning. But he is just so pathetic. He's whining and crying... his "grandma and pops" have to come in every 5 minutes to pet him or he gets all worked up. (my mom and dad)
OH lifeofriley, Really, it is okay. I know the grandparents can be tuff. Please, don't worry. I have been through it. Really, Riley is okay. It's hard now, but in a week, all is over. Okay??? hugs to Riley!
Not really. Besides having the incisions down there he also has a rash. It has always been there but now that he is shaved we can really see it. So when I take the cats in today they are going to give me some anti-biotics to clear that up. That should make him feel more comfortable.
He was spinning in circles all night and moaning and growling and he's just been nirotic so they're going to give me something to help him with that as well.
It's weird my cat Samie also has the same kind of skin problems as Riley. He used to lick and bite his belly until it was raw (like Riley's groin area). They had put him on meds to make him dopey but I hated it so he'd get cortizone shots. Now we just put over the counter cortizone on him and it works great.
