My dog always runs around with his toys, specifically with his pizzle stick, in his mouth and tries to bury them, but there's nowhere to do it. He tries to put it in my sisters notebook, under the pillows, under the couch (and it doesn't help that that thing is nasty!). Any suggestions (cat friendly ones) on how to help him? I heard about using a sand box, but I think the cats would enjoy that just a bit too much.
I think Faith is trying to do that too. She is so funny too cuz she got this new toy that is an elephant with a rope bone tail and she carries it around so much that she even carries it outside to pee!
Sophie used to do that, too. I got a stuffed dog that barked christmas songs and I showed it to her assuming she'd see it and not care. She loved that thing so much she carried it everywhere. It eventually got really slow at singing from being left out in the rain.
lmy bf's dog also carries his toy around with him. It's a little bear that has hearts on his feet and a little bow around the neck, it's the dog's favorite toy. :) ike pearl suggested you could use the styrofoam things, and if your worried bout Frosty eating them, you could use the ones the dissolve, i don't believe it would hurt him/her.
That is exactly what my puppy does. They look so cute though moving their little paws trying to dig when their is no dirt around. My puppy was trying to bury her toys under all my rugs in the house. It is soo cute. I wish I had some advice on what to do. I would try to build a sandbox, but like you said the cats may try and use it. I usually just let my puppy burry them under the rugs becasue when she is done I go and pick them up, at least it satisfies her urge to hide her toys.
