It is cute, but dogs need their exercise. I would kinda be embaressed pushing my dog around in a stroller, just imagine walking around in a park and people see you pushing a dog in a stroller kinda goofy. lol Strollers in my opinion are just for babies and toddlers because they are just learning to walk and they eat stuff off the ground and take off when their parents aren't looking so I would just stick to walking my dog for exercise than pushing her around in a stroller. People at the park are always w/ their lil kids in strollers and u might be the only one w/ a dog in a stroller.LOL It is a cute idea to have dog strollers though.lol We'll I hope my opinion helps. Good luck 2 you. From, the poodle owner and the poodle
When Penny was little I bought one for her. It was pink and really cute. It had a basket underneath of it and a cup holder for me. I tried to use it but she would throw a fit everytime I put her in it so I gave it away. I wanted it so I could take her more places with me.
Malteses are not spaniels...where did you get that from? I have a stroller for Lacy. I don't use it to walk her around in the park...she can walk just fine and loves to walk. I use the stroller when I take her shopping with me. It's great when I go to the mall. It has a basket underneath to put my bags in and a cup holder, and when i'm picking out clothes I can drape them over the top so my hands are free to shop. It's really convenient and it's nice that I can take my baby with me.
I HAD one, but I sold it. I was embarassed every time I pushed Merphy around in it. I bought it because I was training to do a 50 mile walk, and on weekends, I would walk 16 miles in a day. For a little 20 pound dog, that was too much, and being that he was still a puppy, I didn't want to screw up his knees. I still made him walk for about 4 miles, but he would have never made it 16 miles. I still felt like an idiot pushing the thing though. Merphy's gotten fat, so now I make him walk everywhere, and I sold his stroller. One less thing to move!
I personally like to take my dog to places but I think a stroller looks too stupid. If i want to take him to the mall I will put him in a carrier. But recetly i havn't taken him out that much cuz i developed a habbit of calling before hand to see if they allow dogs in their facility and 9/10 says no.
For those of you who thinks strollers are dumb because dogs should be walking, running, jumping etc, that's not the point. People don't put their dogs in strollers because they dont' want their dogs to walk, it's becaues they think its cute! Human can walk jump run too, why do you drive?
I wanted to get a dog stroller so bad for Bentley and my husband said no way he would be caught dead walking a dog in a stroller- so i never got one. But now with daisy also it would be so much easier to put them both in the stroller and raelly thinking about getting one. just when we for for walks or to the parades and things like that . Oh coarse they would walk for awhile but they do get tired and that way they could ride for awhile. My thing is ppl would be looking in thinking i had a baby and it would be a couple of dogs..lol funny-
Everyone thinks its so funny that i have a puppy play pen in my room for Daisy. It looks just like a real baby pack and play play pen. the one that folds up so you can travel with it. For the first 2 months Daisy would sleep in there at night . I would put her to bed and she would sleep in there. But hubby wanted her to start sleeping with us since Bentley did and now my play pen has become a clothes holder for all my clean clothes i havnet put away yet. But its the cutest thing ive ever seen. Every one laughs when they see it. Thinking its a real babys play pen, but it does have a zippered end that you can unzip so the dog can go in and out if needed. but it has the screened ends so you can see them and all the padded walls and bars- I paid 125.00 for it and thought i got a awsome deal..lol but now Daisy doesnt use it , but im going to keep it so when we go on vacation or camping or go to grandmas i can take it with us and use it to keep them in to sleep. i just love it. great investment..
I saw a useful function for them once. Last summer, we were at an outside concert event at Greenville, S.C. and it was hotter than Hades. People beside us had a Shih Tzu in a stroller. I wasn't pleased this heat sensitive dog was out for so long in such excessive heat, but at least with the covered stroller, there was protection from the direct sun on the poor little guy.
