Hey doxielover1 I am not an idiot. You took my words out of context. I was referring to eskies dog that bit her.

I was referring to Eskie's dog. A grown dog who bites his owner is different from a puppy nipping at his owner. Get it straight before you call me names.
The only time my dog has ever bit me was my dog Smokey when I was a kid. He had gotten his clasp for his chain IN his foot, I have no idea how he did it but I didn't notice at first and he really bit me cause he was in pain and I think he was trying to get me to notice that something was wrong. I didn't get mad at him at all because it was not like him to EVER try to bite me, I saw his foot and we got it out and he was sooooo happy!
Hey doxie I hate to tell you this but I agree with crazy. An adult dog biting a child is very different from a puppy nipping. I would never keep a dog that bites because my first responsibility is to my child. Keeping an agressive dog not a puppy would consititute child abuse in my book.
Where did anyone say anything about an Sdult dog Biting a Child?? What am I missing? I have heard Eskie got bit by her own dog.....Charming let her kidS get nipped by a pup......where is the kid bit by an adult?
If an adult dog bites it's owner be it child or adult, the dog should be rehomed. If you have children and the dog bit you it should be rehomed. Keeping a dog that has the propensity to bite especially when you have kids constitiutes child abuse IMO. I think crazy was saying that a dog should not bite his owner. Eskie's situation was not an accidental biting. If Eskie does not have small children then maybe it is not a big problem for her. In my experience children can do stupid things to dogs. What if the child pushes the dog too far does that make it ok for the dog to bite? I have never had my own dog bite me.
iam not a uneducated person...and iam not a kid...do you think kids can have their OWN childrens????..i have two kids.
come on now..you people are just disgusting by not admiting the rehoming fact....you all REHOME or even give them to shelter.....you simply dont accept the truth.
when my german spitz didnt come in home so once i tried to pick him up in my hands.....guess what happend....he growled and jumped out of my hands....then again i tried to pick him up....he growled and bit on my thumb (it was not a blooding wound tho just a lil scratch bcoz i immediately removed my hand)....now what??????..i know how to handle the dog and iam not that much stupid...just rehoming a dog does not shows that iam not a good lover ..i will deffinately go for a dog who is good with my family as my family comes first..and yes balcony was just an example...i tried him to live there because my room was near to balcony and he was able to see me from the window clearly...but in the backyard..there was huge threat for him to be theft and left alone....but i never forced him to live in the balcony...you people really dont know the condition i have gone through as you people dont know me personally....so why arguing????..just to prove that you are experts and educated???????sorry ! but if sum1 from sum other forums will look at our forums he will deffinately say you people are not worth to ask help..i think u all are kids here (except few of you),i have even discussed my problem and rehoming issues with people on other forums as well...but none of them argued with me and didnt make fun of this...i didnt get rude with you people yet...but i will not defend myself now..iam gonna offensive now...so i must say you people are just NUTS and DUMB...you just cant admit the truth.....how sad ! but very hypocratic.
Let me clear up two things here. One yes I do think kids can have 'childrens' or how ever you put it. Two I have never in my live given up an animal. That goes from the time I was a young child. It is NOT normal that you have gone through so many dogs and still have the same problem. You need to invest time to properly train the animals you get or else do not bother going and taking another dog just to end up having to find a home for it later.
Also, I think you should check some things before you try to call us DUMB.

lmao. I didnt catch that comment by charmer. we are dumb??? Us? Hahahahaha. Please. Charmer, I hope you do not speak the same way you type out sentences because you sound like you haven't been past 5th grade. And you're calling US dumb? HA.
I hope its just broken english. Maybe she is from a different country. There is still no excuse for her calling anyone dumb. She came and asked for advice then got mad when it was not what she wanted to hear.
I don't think this thread should be deleted. I think can be informative if you choose to learn from this experience. First of all, 3 weeks of "so called" training a is not trying EVERYTHING. Second, a 10 week old puppy cannot be fully trained. Third, a puppy will nip; it is normal behavior and is to be expected from all puppies. NIpping is not aggressive behavior. I am not trying to be funny but charmer should really buy a book on puppy training. It seems that the problem is not the dog(s) but charmer's inexperience with raising dogs. Before she purchases another dog she should read about dogs so she knows what behaviors to expect. I have never dumped a dog in my life. If I shared your same philosophy, I would not have a dog today. They would all be at the pound. Some dogs take months of serious training to become "good" dogs. Once they are trained you are also expected to keep up with their training. I just think a dog especially a puppy is too much for you right now charmer. If you want to protect your kids and feel safe in your home, you should seriously consider purchasing an alarm system. It's easy and no work involved.
Children can have children...happens all the time. Teen pregnancy ring a bell?
I have to agree...maybe an alarm system is something you could look into? The initial investment doesn't cost much more than a purebred dog and you don't have to train it.LOL I wanted a protection dog too...ended up with a pound puppy that might lick you to death...but wouldn't ever hurt a grasshopper (she chases them, catches them and then lets them go unharmed...Like catch and release with fishing or something!!). The dog is just too friendly for her own good...but we love her!!!! Who wouldn't? Anyway, we'll be looking into an alarm system instead because my house was broken into less than a week after we moved in...scary! I want to feel safe in my own home and right now, I don't. I borrowed a gun from a good friend...but I don't like having it in the house with the children. I really think an alarm system is a great idea. Try it...it could be the best thing you ever did. They can do tons of stuff with them too...including make a fire/heat system a part of it! There's just so many options for what you need/want. Anyway...just a thought.
You can get ADT installed for $99. You can't buy a well bred dog for $99. So it is truly something to consider. You not only have protection from theft but also fire and carbon monoxide detection. Pretty soon you will run out of friends to dump dogs on. Might as well consider a cheaper less involved alternative.
