Please be careful where you post this kind of info.......Many millers also lurk on here as we all know too well & will pretend to be with a rescue just to get another mill dog for their kennel of greed!
i know they hang out and post here rhonda ....... and i brought that concern up to the person who sent me the email. she okay'd me to still print it so i did.
hopefully the good people will get to help out before the bad people get their grubby hands on any of them.
well i have been informed that this julie person is actually a miller/broker herself and this is how she gets rid of the dogs she has no use for anymore. the ones where she charges for the dog its because she needs to recoup the money she spent for the dog buying it at an auction ....evil.

I live in Ky, if there was a way to get a small dog i would. It would be a perfect lil friend for my new pom that i got. he was kept in a cage for 4 yrs of his life. he has been the perfect lil dog so far.
Gosh I get so upset when I think of all these poor babies that have been caged most of their lives and the scum that did this to them. I wish so badly I could take some of them but with 9 dogs Ive got my hands full :o(
----- Original Message ----- Sent: Tuesday, November 15, 2005 4:40 PM Subject: DISGUSTING! DON'T BE PART OF IT! RESCUERS PAY ATTENTION- THIS IS NOT REAL RESCUE! WARNING! U ARE HELPING A DOG PIMP- Dog Auction on Sat - Save Some Lives! CATCH 22 !!!!!!
I GUESS IT HAS NOT OCCURED TO SOME PEOPLE THAT SHE IS A PUPPY BROKER( PIMP).
GO CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IS HAPPENING?
THEN READ THE REST OF MY EMAIL WITH SOME TIDBITS FOR YOU TO REVIEW, TAKEN OFF THE INTERNET- AND PASTED HERE TO HELP YOU DECIDE IF YOU STILL THINK SHE IS IN THIS FOR A NOBLE CAUSE.
YES, YOU ARE SAVING DOGS AND PUPPIES AT THE AUCTIONS, WHICH I AM IN AGREEMENT WITH.
BUT READ THE REST OF THIS EMAIL. IF YOU ARE A DECENT ANIMAL RESCUER/LOVER YOU WILL BE INFURIATED WITH THE INFO BELOW.
I DO NOT AGREE AT ALL IN SEEING SOMEONE PRETENDING TO BE HELPING THE WORLD OF RESCUE WHEN THEY ARE ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROBLEM.
(BY THE WAY- I INITIALLY THOUGHT HER EFFFORTS WERE TERRIFIC TOO, AND EAGERLY PASSED HER LIST AROUND TO OTHERS, UNTIL I SAW HER WEBSITE (AND OTHER SOURCES ABOUT HER ENDEAVOURS ALL OVER THE INTERNET)
USE YOUR JUDGEMENT.....BUT DO REALIZE THAT ON ONE HAND YOU SAVE LIVES BUT ON ANOTHER YOU ARE MAKING HER MONEY AND PROMOTING MORE PUPPIES BEING BORN INTO THIS WORLD.

OR SHIPPING A PUP VIA THE AIRLINES AND HAVING IT DIE???? Julie Phipps - 11:43am Jul 12, 2005
puppy dead, Delta airlines
Hello All, We shipped a puppy by Delta Airlines on March 31, 2005. It was misrouted, delayed, unattended, and eventually re-routed back to us in a coma. He died at the emergency vet we took him to that night. I have filed a claim with Delta and finally on the 3rd attempt it was recognised on May 25th, 2005. I have called the number to check the status a few times, they then return my call and leave a message on my machine with some new excuse for delay. I guess they think I'll eventually forget about it. I would like to pursue legal action. I'm sure I have to file in Atlanta where their corporate office is so I'll have to hire a local attorney. Here are my questions to you..... #1. Anybody know an attorney down there that can resolve this matter? You may privately email me if you need to. #2. Besides the pup, airfare and vet costs and then the attorney's fees, court costs, travel expenses, etc. what else can we sue for? #3. Will you send me legal references on previous airline animal loss cases if you know them? Magazine and newspaper articles would be great too. #4. Your thoughts on this. What do you think?
OR WHY NOT READ WHAT THESE RESCUERS HAVE TO SAY- THEY KNOW SHE IS A MILLER- SHOULDN'T YOU ALSO KNOW THE TRUTH?ES? CLICK ON LINK BELOW TO VIEW THE FULL THREAD
YES, I second that. "TRY PUPPY MILLER/BROKER WHO CALLS HERSELF RESCUE!!!!!"
Just view her website (Kim posted it) and see for yourselves... the reason she is likely doing long-distance stuff now is that few people (if anyone) in the Kansas City area (she lives in St. Joe, about 40 miles north of KC) will have ANYTHING to do with her.
Be very careful... and be warned.
Most of the dogs she is "giving away", but remember, she got them for free. She has a $50 a dog transport...117 dogs at last count, that's $6000 in one pop...she does weekly runs. Do the math! $24,000 a month, HALF A MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! Pretty good for the middle man, huh? Now, add that they are renting a van (a van...for 117 dogs, 5 pot bellied pigs, and a rabbit???), how many vans have you seen at Hertz equipped with USDA approved hauling facilities? Now add...no vet work, no shots, no health certificates. That all equals one big healthy profit for Ms. Phipps.
And you know what really pisses me off more and more these days? I had two perfectly good GSDs that I did every single bit of vet work on. All shots, HW test, frontline, health certificates, microchips, spay/neutering, housebreaking, temperament testing, even heartworm treatment on the male that was positive. I begged rescues to please place these dogs...they could keep 100% of the adoption fee, I would transport several hundred miles at my expense, and NOT ONE GSD RESCUE OR OTHER RESCUE OFFERED TO HELP. But I see more and more VERY REPUTABLE rescues signed up on Phipps list for these totally unsocialized, unvetted, and in many cases, unadoptable (meaning the foster homes will have them for the rest of their lives) dogs.
Here are some puppies that one rescue took from Phipps on the transport 10/28. She was not told of their condition, they (obviously) had no shots or health certicates, and are estimated to be about 5 weeks old...they were nursing their mother, who the rescue also took, who also has sarcoptic mange.
Phipps had a bunch of beagles on her website before this transport, I think she advertised 8 beagles that needed homes (all puppies) on the rescue lists. I went to her website to see if any of the puppies matched pics she had on her website. Magically, she no longer has any of the beagle pups she was selling on her website.
If anyone has any doubts about Phipps being in this for the dogs...these pictures should show you who she really is. It is of my opinion that these were puppies she was selling that she neglected (or one of her "co-op" breeders). They grew older and older, and sicker and sicker, and she then pawned them off on rescue.
If any other rescues got dogs in bad condition, and/or without any health certificates, please let me know so that we can file a complaint with the proper authorities.
______________I have met this lady, and taken dogs from her. She lives in Northern part of Missouri. I do this for the dogs, not to convenience her a$$. She is all about the money, doesn't care about the dogs. (If you see the way she handles them, ya want to slap her.) And I only am nice to her to get as many dogs as possible from her and her hundreds of miller buddies. __________________ almost wonder about this... I wonder if perhaps Julie gets a nominal "fee" from her breeder BUDDIES that are in her freaking little "co-op"... so that maybe for $10-20 (or whatever) per dog, Julie will take those older puppies, or less than desirable breeding dogs, OFF THEIR HANDS... so that the breeders are not stuck feeding and caring for them. This would line the pockets of Ms. Phipps even more, and then she can turn around and TRY to look like some kind of caring, angelic RESCUER who will care for the dogs.
BTW, it is fairly well known in the town where JP lives that she used to use 3-4 different vet clinics, including one "cheapie" place known for "$5 vaccinations" and "$30 surgeries", etc. - that particular "clinic" has spayed dogs that wound up in the ER of *my* vets... with serious complications of bleeding out, etc. (in other words, yes, sometimes you get what you pay for)
And *some* vets in this town have outright refused her as a client... doesn't that tell you something?
And lastly, as XXXT wrote, yes -- please do do a quick google search on "Julie Phipps MO" or similar, and you surely will see that she's ALL OVER the internet, hawking those poor dogs and puppies. If word can get out enough, maybe her little enterprise will take a financial hit... which surely would be the only reason she would ever stop what she's doing.
I am not breeder bashing, I am speaking from personal experience. I bought my shih tzu/maltese mix from http://www.phippyspuppies.com/ in April (before I knew better.) I was supposed to get my puppy on April 1, 2005. My dog arrived the next day, she claims they forgot to put her on the van, she called me the day I was supposed to pick up my puppy from the airport, told me not to go, said my puppy was with her. (I hope she was telling the truth and my dog wasn't in the crate getting bumped around for over 24 hours.) My tiny 3 1/2 lb puppy had ticks, roundworms and coccidia. I complained to Julie, the Humane Society and whomever else would listen. Julie refunded $500 of the $700 that I paid. i have learned soooooooooo much since then, thanks to this site. Cookie is fine now, thank God but it was scary for a while. If anyone wants to chat about this, I'm happy to share my experience. By the way, I just posted about this the other day but I didn't name where I got my dog from.
