Well here i am again!! It seems that one can cause a real rumpus with out trying, as i said before i was just trying to figure out the reason people want to mix breeds. Our neighbour just bought a mixed Yorkshire terrier which looks like a little rat, no hair and tiny. she paid more than we did for our Yorkshire. She now has problems with its tendons back left leg. It also shakes with cold and has no terrier attitude. She loves it and it loves her, is that enough??? To breed deliberately this dog seems a bit strange to me. Of course mistakes happen and we love those mistakes but deliberate breeding??
you posted this exact question in your post yesterday. you got several replies. have you still not got the answer you are looking for ? it just seems like when these topics are brought up . arguements soon follow. i hope that is not what you are trying to do ?
Violet I'm with you. Aren't there enough mixed breeds in the shelters? and the health issues may or not be the result of the mix alone. This would probably still occur if these were bred to there own breed. Sounds like defective genes in one or both and you're right..why pass this on and call it a good thing? I have a friend at work that is one of those wacked out animal rights types, and she is mad at me cause i breed dogs. Well the problem is not the breeders, but irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/neuter pet animals. I give rebates to my customers that spay neuter at 4 months, and a huge discount for a non breeding dog. You keep up the good work. You sound like a winner
That is what i said, it seems possible to annoy people really easily here, i don't know why that should be? I am trying to understand another point of view. i would be interested in hearing what you have to say, why would you think i am causing trouble?? This is a cultural misunderstanding or i am in the wrong forum!! I do not live in the USA, i am a first time dog owner and i am amazed by the hostility i am receiving!!
i was just curious as to wether there was something in particular that wasnt being answered here. its a very touchy subject with alot of people. and i guess even i am not sure what we are allowed to address on the subject of mixed breeding. if i understand what you are saying about your neighbor, then no , she should not breed her dog. she hasnt done any health testing at all. it doesnt sound like her dog is breed standard or even healthy enough. all you can do is maybe try to talk to her about it. some people have a mindset that cannot be changed. all you can do is try.
This is a very touchy subject. I have two mix breed that are very heathy and that I love to death. I also have a pure breed beagle. If my neighbor want to buy a full breed or mix it's up to her and non of my business.

I honestly had no idea that this was such a touchy subject. I have nothing against mixed breed dogs. I am sorry if i have offended any body. What are the rules on this forum as i seem to have offended you with out even trying. Maybe i should start up another discussion,??
Violet if you have a question don't be afraid to ask. If the senior members don't like it, that's ok they will get over it. If any of you think she is trying to cause trouble then don't answer her. If you think she is a troll then remember not to feed the troll.
lovin, why is your nose in almost every post. its is really not your concern to worry about what others do or say. you need to start minding your own business ! there was no trouble here except what YOU are trying to start !

you are good at copy and paste. so why didnt you copy HER reply to ME. i was in no way rude in my response to her post. she on the other hand was rude in hers. and you are very quick to make remarks about senior members. you obviously look for anything we post , just so you can find some piddly thing to COPY AND PASTE .worry about what you do , so far you have been the rudest one here !
Dusty you are so right about Loving she is always right there adding enough comments to stir the pot and get people fired up. She always quotes somebody and calls them uneducated and and then runs and hollering for the mods or admin to ban them and she is the one whom should be ban .she acts like a five year old .
