Anyone ever feed them to their dogs? I found them in one of the pet catalogs and got some to try. The dogs love them, just wondering if anyone else has tried them?
They are slices of cow lungs, steralized and dried like rawhide for dogs.
Last year we tried the Moo noses and this year the Moo Lungs. Wonder what they will come up with next year? I can only imagine. We tried the cow hooves, but they are too big for my smaller dogs to handle.
havent tried those but i have tried the bully sticks which were too expensive for my dogs since they ate them in minutes , and i have tried the pig snout puff things , and those new things now which are like imitation pigs ears .
i also gave the dogs those huge knuckle smoked knuckle bones they seel thru pet edge but salty got horrendous diarrhea from it and she puked for a week after eating it. she even puked up big hunk of the bone itself. so never again with those
Haven't tried those. My guys favorite treats are marrow bones that we fill with treats mixed with peanut butter and then freeze. Whenever we want them to be quiet for about half an hour we break out the "popsicles", they never get bored with them because we vary what we put in the bone.
The Moo Lungs are not for the weak of heart, so to speak. You can see the formation of the lungs on the various pieces and the holes where the tubes were. Kind of scarey looking actually, but so far the dogs love em. No diarrhea yet, but they just started them yesterday.
I bought 2 big beef soup bones for Kesha and Spotty the other day. The kind with the marrow in the middle. They are working hard to get the marrow out of the center of the bones now. They sure enjoy them.
Tyke tried to steal Spotty's bone, but it was too big for him to carry, especially since he has that underbite. He finally bit the end of the bone and flipped it up on his little short nose. He looked so comical, like a little mis-shapen unicorn running through the yard with the bone balanced on his little face. He never ceases to come up with just one more cute little trick to amuse me.
Never tried them and probably never will. No offense to those who do. My dogs don't eat rawhides, pigs feet, pigs ears or anything like that. I think it is disgusting. I wonder whos idea it was to give dogs cow lungs and pigs feet?? My dogs don't eat anything I wouldn't eat and there is NO way in hell I would eat that! *yuck!*
Well, no need to worry Katz, you won't find me nibbling on the Moo Lungs either. They are a little too scarey for me, but the dogs sure like them. Doesn't seem like many others here have tried them for their pets, maybe I'm the only one that tries all these new, weird products. :D
Cow & lamb lung (Moo Moo Qs and Baa Baa Qs) are very healthy treats and are about the only treats I can give my epi dog & my IBS dog. They are not greasy whatsoever and have no real odor about them, but they are not long chews like pigs feet, etc.
If anyone wants to try them (Baa Baa Qs anyway) the place I get them from is having a great sale on them (don't know if I can give the link of not). Normally they're $11.29 for a 1lb bag and this month they're running them for $9.99. If anyone wants to know who it is, email me privately....unless mods say it's ok to give the link here. YOu can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org - make sure you put TP or something in the subject so I don't delete it as junk.
