Hubby got home last night with Cinder and she was kind of loopy from the anethesia. I wanted to see what they had done. They didn't pull any of her teeth!!! That is what we paid for and there is none gone. She has one tooth in the front of her mouth that because her jaw is so crooked, it actually is poking up into the roof of her mouth. That was the most important thing to me was to get that tooth out! They cleaned them all but I am very angry. I have to call them in a few minutes to find out why she didn't get her tooth pulled. They are either going to have to refund my money or take her back in. I am scared of her going back under. God, why couldn't they have done it right?? This is the first time the vets did not do what I asked.........let's see if they have a good reason!
Okay, I have called............ The vet is supposed to call me back within an hour. The lady said "well they probably didn't pull the tooth because it wasn't needed" and I just said, "no, it was very much needed, she has a broken jaw and her tooth is sticking up into the roof of her mouth!" She was kind of like, "um, well, okay let me see if the vet can talk to you". I think she wasn't prepared for me to be that upset but it was a risk once putting her under, I don't really want to have to do it again. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
Sorry Cinder is having to go through this. Is your vet usually reliable? I would be concerned that maybe one of the techs did the cleaning and the vet wasn't availbable to check the final result. I hope all goes well for you.
Yeah, these vets have ALWAYS been great. All I can think of is when they did it they must have found a reason not to pull it. I don't know, I wish he would call already. I want to know why she still has all her teeth(what a wierd question! lol) I am just frustrated because it looks so painful but maybe since it has been that way for so long, he found a reason why it would be better not pulled? I don't know, I am anxious to talk to him.
I don't know a thing about cats, but I am sorry she is having to go thru this. Is there anyway her jaw can be fixed? I don't blame you for being upset. Thats just like what I said with Mandy, its kinda like well, we have never seen that before. Well, what about trying to find out? Thats what you are being paid for. I have always liked my vets too, but more and more I think they are getting like my doctor. Just pay up front and there's the door.
Katz you tell that vet if he don't do what's right then you going to send fur ball in there lol..... no relly Katz just trying to cheer you up.seriously The doc might feel it would be too dangerous to remove her little tooth might leave to other problems.it's a reason behind it i think.b/c why didn't he if you paid your money. stay calm and see what the reason is ok ..
Well, I called again because I never got a call back and now he is in surgery and he said he will call me when he is done. I really want to know if there was a reason why he didn't pull that tooth. Her jaw can't be fixed because it was broken almost 5 years ago. It has healed crookedly and she has had to live with this tooth poking into the roof of her mouth for 5 years, that is why I wanted it pulled. I guess there is nothing left to do but wait.........
Poor little thing. I am so sorry. It looks like even if it was a good tooth but still poking her jaw and causing problems they would have pulled it. I would tell them I want it pulled good tooth or not. I know now you wouldn't probably want her put back to sleep this soon, or does it matter? I don't really know, but I hope they will do something for that little thing soon. If not I would just go to another vet.
