I am so so sorry for your loss! I been there before and it is not easy. Just hang in there, it will take some time. Your beloved is now in a better place and one day you will get to see each other again.
Do you have any other pets? I think that helped me to get through the loss of my dear Charlie, I loved him so very much.
Hello!,I do know what you are going threw my dog also got hit by a car but it has been a year now and I was devastated .The best thing for you to do is replace the dog I know you want your one you lost back but the best thing is to get another. What kind of dog was it ??? I hope this helps.
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

I am so sorry for your loss. Many areas have support groups so that you can meet face to face with people going through the same thing. When my dog Rufus died, friends sent me a copy of the Rainbow Bridge..it's already been posted...print out a copy and when you feel a little better spend some quiet time reading it...you'll have a good cry but I guarentee you'll feel closer to your beloved pet.
Also, take the time you need to heal. Some people who don't have pets don't realized how long people mourn their pets.
There really is no words anyone can say that will make the hurt stop. But try and remember the good times and be happy she did not suffer. All dogs go to heaven take comfort in that , and that she will always be watching over you now. I know many people will set up a memorial page on dogster, That will help you and others celebrate the GOOd times ;) MJ
