thumpers2u scarydog answered your question. I am sorry you did not like the answer. Because it is a mix breed there is no set temperament for these dogs. They can be like beagles or pugs or a good mixture of both.
Iv'e seen pictures of pugs with eyes that stick out and eyes that dont. Are puppie pugs the only ones that have eyes that dont stick out. I also saw two puggles right next to eachother and one of them had eyes that stuck out a lot and looked exactly like a pug and the other had a longer snout and different colors. do theyre snouts grow longer with age?
gyujdh puggles can have any and all characteristics of either breed that is part of having a mixed breed dog there is no set way for them to look act or be. My advice is simply to research both breeds and if you do not like every thing about both breeds than consider a different dog. There is no way to control how the dog will look act or react. I personally would pict the breed I liked best and buy that one then you know the temperment and looks and ways of your dog. I personally dont have a problem with mixed breeds - just the over rated prices people charge for them. good luck..
My puggle takes after the beagle side more. She is a constant hunter and a split second of a dropped leash she will bolt. She climbs trees to get squirrels. She also howls when she is upset (ie. in her crate) or when I leave or someone is at the door. She is good with other dogs but kind of shy towards people she doesnt know, she warms up though. She gets VERY hot in the summer, like a pug, and cannot be outside or go on long walks when its hot out. A 15 minute walk in the heat will have her panting on her side for 45 minutes. She is a sweet dog though. She weighs 26 lbs, too.
I have two puggles, Max and Luigi. They are both from the same litter but look quite different. Luigi is more beagle, very hyper, howls, is also shy and very sweet, will take off like lightening given the chance and has no breathing problems. Max on the other hand is the total opposite, has more characteristics of a pug including the breathing. He's very calm, friendly, does not howl, always by our side and would never take off.
