Crossposted with permission - An urgent case at Animal Control for a female pit bull, about a year old. She is covered in cigarette burns, head to toe. I just got off the phone with the ACO and he is DESPERATE to get her out of there, she has already been their a week and thats a LONG time for any dog to survive at this AC office. She is chocolate and white, and sweet as can be. He says she is okay with other animals so far, but we all know how that can turn out. I dont have pictures now, but I will have some by the end of the night.
PLEASE if there is anyone who can take this sweet girl, email me ASAP or PM me. Missyoumarilyn@aol.com
I can have her boarded and vetted temporarily if there is someone who can take her. We need to get her pulled NOW, and I would rather not pull her with no where to go.
This girl is calling out to me, and hopefully to you as well...she is desperate and will surely be PTS VERY soon if we cannot get a foster for her.
I cross-posted this story about this beautiful Pit Bull that was terribly abused. I saw her pictures, she is recovering from extreme physical abuse. She has dozens of cigarette burns on all parts of her body. It will take your breathe away to see her and bring tears to your eyes.
Won't someone help her? She's at Animal Control and is scheduled to be PTS soon. She deserves a chance to live life as a pamperd pet, after enduring the pain and torture she has lived with so far.
According to the story there, someone is finally rescuing her and giving her a chance. She is being pulled from the shelter in Georgia and transported up north. God bless her, she has suffered so much.
I haven't heard anything on the inhumane idiot that tortured this dog in the first place. Has anyone else followed the story?
omg. that is horrible. i have seen alot of cruelty towards pitbulls lately. yet all that seems to hit the news is when they bite someone. well geeezz i wonder why that is ? so all you pitbull haters , do you think that dog should be put to sleep? do you think that it is okay to abuse these dogs? do you wonder why some attack? do you feel the same animosity towards the abusers as you do the dogs themselves? do you want to eradicate the breed because it is used for fighting by some, abused by some, used as and ashtray by some, or starved to death by some ? look at this dog . all of the abuse this poor dog suffered at the hands of humans yet still LOVES ALL !
how can animals be sooo forgiving of humans, no matter what kind of pain and torture is inflicted upon them, yet people cant see past the name pitbull and give them the same consideration?
Those pics are enough to make me cry. I could have been looking at my own baby there. Thanks to whoever gave her a home. Things like this make me so angry. I firmly believe that cruelty to animals should be dealt with in an eye for an eye fashion. Burn you pup. Burn you back. What an imperfect world we live in.

Last I heard, this poor baby was not in rescue, she was pulled from the kill shelter though. She is being treated at:
East Side Animal Hospital 800 Ash Street Savannah, GA 31404-2004
They are accepting donations towards her care and treatment. As if it isn't horrific enough that she was burned hundreds of times with cigarettes, on all parts of her body, she is also heartworm positive.
She is being temporarily boarded at the Animal Hospital.
I did not see the original dog (in person) that was burnt with the cigarettes, I just cross posted it. Now that I look at the dog that was burnt, I see that it is not the same one that was posted first, that was named Mocha.
Am not sure if the original posted typed in the website incorrectly or what happened.
But the second set of photos do show the actual dog that was abused. It is terrrible to see those photos, they make me cry.
Evidently, the gal from Animal Control that found the abused Pit Bull had picked up 2 female Pits around the same time. She was confused and did post that the dog had been placed in South Carolina.
Well, a female Pit Bull was placed in South Carolina, but unfortunately it was NOT the Pit that was repeatedly burnt with cigarettes. It was the other Pit Bull that she had picked up at the same time.
Very confusing, but I did post the actual address of the Animal Clinic / Hospital / Vet where the burnt Pit Bull is being boarded and treated.
Please refer to the address and phone number of the Vet in Georgia to find out more information about the horribly abuse Pit.
God bless her, as of 3 days ago, no one had adopted her, however she is NOT at the kill shelter that she started out at. She is at an Animal Clinic and is getting treatment. It is expensive and extensive treatment and they are accepting donations at the Animal Clinic, specifically for the treatment of the burnt Pit Bull.
I know this is long and I am rambling, but I am trying to make sense of it myself.
Sorry for posting the incorrect link in the first posting on this story, but I am only passing along the information as I recieved it.
