I have an almost 6 month old Bichon/Pomeranian mix she is not losing her puppy canine teeth and her adult canines are coming in, yeah double teeth yikes. I was wondering if there is anything someone can recommend to do besides getting them surgically removed. I have tried using a bone like a cow's knee but she got bored w/ it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
Are any of them loose? My 6 month old lost all his canines within a time period of a week, and all his adult canines were fully grown in. He got neutered on Monday, and we had made the appointment last Wednesday or so. At the time, his last baby canine was still in, so we were preparing to get it pulled the same time he was getting neutered, but it eventually came out before the surgery.
My best advice is to give her lots of hard things to chew on and play lots of tug of war games. Worked for Kuma. But if they don't come out soon, you should get them pulled. I know I would have gotten them pulled for at least MY sake; double canines just LOOK painful.. and kinda scary =) Our vet charges $15 a tooth.
Oh, also, Kuma lost one while he was playing with other dogs at the dog park; we noticed he was bleeding from his mouth and he kept chewing on something. We picked him up and saw that his tooth was dangling from I think a piece of his gum?? Well, whatever that's worth- but Kuma plays real hard, so IDK if that would work on ur pup. Good luck.

Unfortunately, I've heard that is a problem with Pomeranians. You should schedule an appointment with your vet to have them taken out. If you haven't had her spayed yet, you can have it done when you spay her so she doesn't have to be under more than once.
