Anyone ever try goats milk soap? I ordered some from one of the girls at work the other day and the way they hyped it up it sounded awesome.
Anyone ever try the stuff? I have two bars of it coming my way....
They had lots of scents that went along with the soy candles and bath crystals they were also selling like strawberries and cream and what not but I am a perfume/cologne junkie so I headed straight for the few designer scents they had. Drakkar Noir scented and Cool water.
Oh yes you can have as many as you want.By the time hell month is over I will not care,Every time it is kidding season I work my butt off. We have about 50 moms in each pasture and all fifty are breed and for some reason it seems that all the babies decide to wait till the weather is it's worse and all want to come at the same time .I ran a phone line( 100foot of it) to the barn and hooked up lap top cause I knew I was going be out here all night .So I thought I would keep you guys updated.
We are under a winter weather watch tonight down here in central Texas and boy is it cold.
Oh and all my goats are purebred boer goats .I guess you could call me a byb for goats
Ah, Texas. I just talked to my friend in Houston and he was saying how cold it had gotten. Heck, you ain't seen nothing yet, we are closing in on the zero degree mark tonite. It's 1 degree above zero in St. Paul, Minnesota, as we speak. I think the entire midwest area is under frigid conditions.
At least you have your computer onhand, to keep you entertained. Stay warm and keep us updated on those babies.
Do you show them or are they pets? I love to hear about other people's critters.
Well I dont show but my kids and all there friends do so every year I give all the friends some to show but most of them I sell to others as show goats and I sell herd replacement does and herd billies .I dont do the sell barn thing because I get to attacted to them and could not stand to know that somebody was eating one of them .

aawww doggie . they are adorable. my daughter had a little billy goat when we had our farm. my husband brought him home when he was just a baby. he had the scours and we almost lost him. my husband and i took turns taking care of him round the clock and he survived. what a little hellion he turned out to be ! my daughter threw a tantrum when he had to start sleeping in the barn. he had already devoured all my houseplants and a few articles of clothing ! lol
Doggie Yes I know all about it! I live in Montana so it is freezing when I lamb, if your not there when the babies are born they can die pretty fast. It's a constant baby sitting job while they are lambing! But I enjoy having them the rest of the year:-) I'm looking to get a few more so I'll have about 200 then. Plus my parents have 200 down the road from me that I help lamb. I also spring lamb for two of my neighbors, they have several thousand head of sheep.....now that is an experience!!
Cute Kids Doggie. I too have boer goats only 15 but I know what you mean...they all chose the coldest day or the one day it snows to have their kids. I mostly get twins and I have had triplets. Last spring one of my mommas had twins boy/girl and just totally rejected the little female. So we bottle fed her and she grew up with our pyr puppies. My pyr mom would let her nurse...it was so sweet. I do believe she thought she was a dog :) My little libby has crossed the rainbowbridge, we miss her so much you really get attached to them specially when you end up bottle feeding them. thanks for sharing...love the pics...
Too cute. Now I don't know if I missed it, are those nubian (dairy) goats or are those Boer (meat goats)? Both look so similar, but I thought the head shape and markings on a couple look a little more like a Boer.
