Thanks guys!! Caesar (my Rottie) is a year old we got him from a rescue about 2 weeks ago.All my dogs are rescues.I also think its nice to know who im talking too. Thanks for the compliments, Jake,Lacie and Bear sends a kiss.
And caesar sends a Big Sloppy wet kiss. WARNING: You may want to grab a towel!!
they are adorable. i love bear. have always prefered the ASCOB'S overall. growing up, my neighbors had six cockers, all ASCOB'S and all very lovable. i have heard they can be nippers, but havent met any myself that were.
thank you I love the Ascobs too,my favorite!! they can be nippy but its usually do to over breeding and in breeding. And not being disiplined, they are not a dog that you cna have and him never taught manners and such they need to know who the Master is or he will do that himself, and then your in for a bumpy ride...trying to gain your spot back.Lol i have also noticed that females tend to be more dominit then males and females are generally more known to bite.
i wish i had six cockers!! Bear is such a sweet heart,he touches everyone who meets him...and even more when they here his story. I have not had him his whole life only since July and he is obsessed with me...i cant get out of his site.
what alot of people love the most about him is his stub of a tail never quits wagging and when you pet him his whole nody just shakes all over.
Hannah, I am so shocked. I must admit with your extensive understanding of puppy training and dog know-how I assumed you were older. Wow, I am super impressed! Do you think you want to bree or show or train for a living later in life? You seem to be a natural when it comes to knowing what's going on in their heads! Your dogs are sooo cute! Your rottie is a big boy! He weighs more than I do. Is it hard to walk him? I am going to take a few more pics later and post. Talk to you soon.

Michelle, I plan on being a vet,and a dog trainer. I have trained many dgos and I'm training alot of my neighbors dogs.I have a grooming business right now. I just groomed a Scoodle last night.I have studeied dogs all of my life (14 years) and have always had at least 2 dogs. I have learned Alot from my dog trainer that I work with.
I can't wait to see more pics!!! Caesar also weighs more than I do.He used to be hard to walk when I got him.But now he stays right at my left side and never pulls.Since I have had him he has got over jumping, food aggression with dogs, aggression with dogs that go after him, trying to kill my cat, pulling on leash, and fear of being hit.
i was kinda scared to tell ya my age. some people arent very fond of getting advice from a kid.

some of our younger generation could teach adults a few things ! lol. i am having a problem with food aggression between my two frenchies. i keep their food dishes on opposites sides of the room. annie will sniff at hers and then go lay down not far from her dish. rocky will eat all his and then go to hers and she will jump up and run over and attack him ! she doesnt do it alot , but she gets really mean about her food. treats is terrible. they will both attack each other if the treats get to close . i have to feed those way apart from each other. they are food pigs ! i have had to grab the scruffs of their necks to seperate them. and then i put them in a down until they calm down. its frustrating sometimes as they are both more than well fed ! lol
Ha1 I have the same problem with lacie and Jake but I just let them battle it out...they love eah other too much to actually hurt each other. Now Lacie will really try to hurt my cat when he walks by even if she isnt eating, when that happens she gets a very very very stern "No" and is put in time out (her cage) then for a few days I let cat eat out of her bowl and if she even starts to get too focused on him its quick pop and very stern "no"
Now Caesar doesnt like Jake by him when he eats, but thats not his choice. i then feed them both out of my hand side by side and make them eat together, then I put their dish closer and closer untill they are touching bowls.
thanks cocker lover ! i never thought about the hand feeding thing. i will give that a try next time they get out of line. the majority of the time they are total lovers with each other. its just food that they have issues with. harley , our gsd doesnt care if they eat out of his dish or not. lol here is their dogster pages :
Hannah,You're going to make a great vet! You probably know more NOW than a few of the vet assistants at my vet! NO joke. I call to ask them simple questions and they have tp put me on hold for long periods of time to "consult" or they just straight out tell me they have no clue. You already have the upper hand. You groomed a what? Poo-Da-What? :) Got any tips for pom brushing after a bath? I have a HECK of a time with mine! AND the butt hair! Oh my gosh they get poo matted in it because it sticks out everywhere. I'm sure you have some good tips. I am tryign to avoid food agression by touching them while they eat and grabbing their bowls and moving them a few inches so they have to move for it. Seems to work. I think food agression in a small dog is an extremely unattractive quality, especially when there are little one's around. Alexis thinks it's funny to tyr and grab their kibble so I see this as a good time to get them used to people messing with their food since they are too silly to be aggressive about the kibble. Hannah you're young but I wouldn't say you are a kid. Fourteen is getting up there. I have a sister that is 17 so I don't feel that you're SO young. You're a young lady or Jr Diva! I sometimes feel relatively young on here myself! If anyone gets upset about your age after you have given them GREAT advice it's because they're jealous of your knowledge or embaressed that they in their older age have not acquired the info you already have. Don't sweat it. Any age, you're a super good dog owner and my Go-To-Girl from now on. Oh listen to this, the girls slept from around 10:45 to SIX this morning! Now that I know they can go so long I am going to see if maybe our 2 o'clock potty break can wait until three or four. Vet visit went fine. Spent a BUTT-LOAD on frontier flea stuff but what are you gonna do?! Talk to you soon!
Michelle, I hope I make a good vet! My vet is always telling me I will because most of the time I can tell him what I think is wrong with Bear and most of the time I'm right.
I haven't really had problems with hair around tthe butt because mine get shaved every 4 weeks.I brush them out with a undercoat rake that is made for longhaired dogs. Then I use the Shedding rake to get all the rest of the hair out. I do this before the bath and then when they are blowdried or airdried I do this again. The undercoat rake really helps with matts.
I groomed a Scoodle the other night, its a mix between a Scottish terrier and Poodle. She was one of my foster dogs awhile back.I groom her every 6 weeks.
