I am new to this site. I have 52 dogs but they are not only breeders they are my babies! They have the best of everything! Not only LOVE but the best the vet can give them but the best love can give them! I am very interested in talking to other people that feel the same. I spend alot of time with my dogs and make sure they are all happy and have there own time! Every dog has it's own personality and I try and make sure they all get what is needed to not only breed but have a HAPPY LIFE! Some go camping with us, some like to ride in cars, some like to run on the 67 acres. We have some we have to buy kiddie pools for in the summer because they just love to be in the water. If anyone would like to chat let me know.
wow, 52?! I have my hands full with mine and I am at less than half of that! Bet it keeps you busy, take it you dont work outside the home, lol, enough work at home. What breed do you have? Any pics or a site, would love to see!
wow! Lots of dogs! How do you keep them all in your home, or you have a kennel? How did you make your kennel? What type of dogs do you have! That is wonderful that you love your pets so much! Welcome to the forum!
oh cripe...i have 4 shepherds, 2 mini schnauzers and 2 gsd pups and I feel over whelmed at times caring for our brood...its a family affair and we all work EXTREEMLY hard to make life for our pooches a good one..Mine are not just kennel stock..although I have bought some who were...and getting them to a point they are actually a DOG again takes a lot of time and huge amounts of effort...We excercise ours several times daily in our 10 acres and they are all pets..and if they are outside..where we have a indoor/outdoor kennel...it is heated, has celing fans and now we have wireless servalance...we can watch them ...Ours have cost us a bundle keeping them vetted and tested and fed and happy...i just dont think I personlly could care for more...
We have a sundowner(hunt KennelSystem) for our smaller breeds. It has pens inside with dogging doors that lets them go out and play! I was working, I was a vet tech and loved my job but I lost a few litters of pups not being home so my husband and I decided it was time for me to do this full time. My 21 year old daughter comes up twice a week and we do medicines or nail trims etc. Once a month everyone gets a bath, thats always a long day but I have to say it is very rewarding! Right now we have poms, chiuh, dauch, poodles, llassas, bichon, bostons and pug. Then in our outside yard we have five shepards. It seems like once we got in a routine it actually isnt as much work as people think. I am though very careful who I allow in my kennel, I don't want someone to bring a virus in.
As far as food I use nurtisourse for the puppies and gold for the adults! It has really worked well for me there coats arre shiny and they deliver more puppies. Plus there poop is less than half! The supplies I order off of Pet Edge. 1800-petedge. They have supplies , bowls etc at reasonable prices! Let me know if you need more info.
As far as toys I buy rawhide bones once a month but walmart at the checkout has toys less then a dollar . I try and buy the hard ropes, balls, the soft toys they tend to chew up to easy and thats not good! They can digest them and block there intestines. As a vet tech we saw alot of dogs that came in with underware, plastic, etc. It blocks them up! Try and stick with toys that are safe! One trick for little puppies/ Save your tide, any laundry soap lids! Wash them very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Puppies love to play with them!.
Hi! Welcome to TP! Dang, I thought my 5 dogs were a lot! Not any more! Well, I was just wondering... you said you breed too, right? If so, how much do your smallest female Chihuahuas weigh that you breed?
I dont broker mine through hunt kennel system. I have a local broker but most time I sell them out of the house, I like knowing who my puppies are going to! I have people that send me pictures years after I sell them! I always tell people day or night call me if there are any problems these are my babies and I want to know they will be taken care of.
