A few weeks ago I noticed a tiny bump on Spence's head. I didn't think nothing of it and you couldn't see it.....but a few days ago I noticed it turning red and kinda pimple like and it got bigger(he is white with fine fur). Well I never notice him trying to mess with it but today it's scabbed up. What could this be and causing it?
He does have a vet appt. Wednesday so I'll definately ask her about it.....but I was just wondering if there was something I could do about it in the meantime.
i agree with huron. if he's had it for a few weeks and it hasnt spread , thats a good thing. as long as its not bleeding or bothering him, he should be fine until wednesday. rocky, my frenchie had a small lump on his head too. turned out he was messing with phatboy, the cat. he hasnt learned a dang thing though, he still doesnt "get it" that the cat doesnt like playing as much as he does ! lol
i have to share this because it is too funny. rocky was on a roll one day. he would NOT leave phatboy alone. he was hopping around the cat in circles and biting at his tail. the cat was growling. awhile later i was just coming into the dining area, when rocky comes running past with the cat on top of him riding piggyback ! he fell off when rocky rounded the corner. after he had rode him accross two rooms with his claws embedded in his shoulder blades. when i went to check on him he was up on my bed trying to hide under the covers. i had to tell him that frenchies are lovers and NOT fighters ! LMAO
I would just keep an eye on it. It could be nothing, or it may need removal. Eve developed a big red knot on her foot, which had to be removed.
Pugglemama, I have had to give Eve hydrogen peroxide because she got into a friend's pack of cigarettes one time. However, if you are referring to an earlier post you made concerning glass-eating, I would call the vet ASAP.
If this is a puppy , it is most likely staph bump and easily cured this is caused by their nails and teeth of the dogs and is caused by a fungus and can be treated with anti fungle cream , like athlete foot cream for a couple of days and good luck.
Maybe a new post should be put up about this but I had a dog eat my nieces siezure medicine after she dropped it on the floor and we were told to give hime a teaspoon of hydragine peroxcide and it worked made hom vomit it up!
