It is horrible. If it is true. A broken leg is not a death sentence on a dog, even an amputation is not. Hopefully the shelter will talk them into putting the dog up for adoption and just let them sign the dog over. Worst case scenario, the dog is pts, it can be worse, the OP could still own the dog. At least it would not be in any pain anymore.
can you pay for the shots your beagle will need..that is 200 dollars each time at the vet and that is 2-3 times. Dont waste another life. Apparently christmas shoppping is more important than saving your best friends life. remember pay for the puppy and all of the vet bills however that maybe. I know some people who spent 1800 dollars on their dogs vet bills. you only hae to pay a fraction of that.
ADVICE: take your dog to the vet and pay the bill.
OMG!!! This is WHY some Humans SHOULD NEVER EVER have any other Living Being to CARE FOR !!!!!!!!!!!
WTH!!! Your FAULT you let the poor pup RUN INTO the street .. BY Letting Go Of the leash! SO you have to take the .RESPONSIBILITY to KEEP the Pup from harm and In Good Health . YOU NEED TO TAKE THE PUP TO THE DOCTORS Just as IF you yourself had a broken bone and get the Pup HELP !
If indeed you have chosen TO KILL the pup Instead of Protecting and Nurturing . I hope You never ever have another Living being Under your Care!!!!!!!!

I sure hope this is a very bad joke. One of my Pom babies came up limping and I took her right in. They sedated her, x-rayed her and she had a broken leg! I don't know how it happened. She had a splint on her leg for about a month, and she came out of it with no problems, not even a limp.
I have had Pit Bulls in the past, and I know how tough they can be. That is no excuse for not taking that dog to the vet. If my delicate little Pom baby can get thru it with no limp, this Pit Bull would have probably been fine, IF he had taken care of it right away.
People make me sick.
Babu, where do you live? $200 for each set of shots!! No way. You know you can give them yourself (except the rabies) for about $10 each time? I would look around for another vet, that is outrageous.

Wow, okay..how can you even think about X-Mas shopping when your dog needs medical help? That is so sad! How old are you anyway? You sound a little young. Caring for your dog is MUCH more important than your presents. Anyway X-mas isn't about shopping..it's about giving from your heart and if you have a heart then you will take your dog in to get him fixed, that's all there is to it. Be creative and make something creative for your family as a gift this year. If you decide to go shopping instead then it's your choice but I don't know how in the world you'd be able to sleep at night knowing your dog needs help now!!
I am new to this site and this was the first message I replied to and I cant help it if I say something out of line!!!!! What are you thinking!! I feel so sorry for this animal! Do you have children? Do you have family members you care about!? How can anyone in there right mind not take thsi dog to the vet?!! You should be totally ashamed of yourself!
Now don't you know someone is going to have a puppy hurt that bad and take time to join a forum and be stupid enough to show how ignorant they are. It must have took all of 5min. to come up with this one. I'm sorry but I don't believe this for one second. There is no one that loves animals anymore than I do and I can't help but believe this is a made up jobber, I felt nothing when I was reading this crap. This moran needs to check into a hospital. They have alot more serious problems than broken bones.
sandblagbu, i agree. this is just one that made it past the big billy goats gruff. got everyone worked up and had a good laugh. nobody is that dense. common sense would even tell him to take the poor dog to the vet. especially if a bone is sticking out. i try to find the humor in things, this poster is just not funny and he is also not well.
Schools out for Christmas break in some areas. Seems there's a child out there with too much time on their hands and no parental supervision.
If this is for real, I think you should keep pulling on his leg, and then maybe we'll all be reading in the papers, "Dog viscously mauls owner after days of abuse: dog regarded hero for puttiing moron in place!"
