its so sad to read of people being cheated. unfortunately , it happens alot more than people realize. its why it is so important to do alot of research when looking for a good breeder. never buy anything through puppyfind, unless its someone that you know. when searching for our two frenchies, we were in contact with a breeder in california. the more we researched her, the more bad things we found out. now she is closed down. thankfully we did the homework and didnt become another one of her many many victims. 1000 for a frenchie is awfully low. i would be wary of that for one. most frenchies require c-sections and artificial insemination. alot of care with the puppies too. all parents should be health tested and certified. the cost of a litter can be very expensive. there are good breeders out there. hopefully you will be compensated for your loss, but sadly, most are not. if you decide on another frenchie, please go through an escrow. terrific pets has one. it is the only way that you can be assured of not getting scammed. good luck to you.
I am so sorry I was on the phone while typing and it was hard to use the shift key. I have been on the phone all day with the airlines trying to see if this guy made a reservation for my dog. Obviously not!
I really should have done research but I have not purchased a pet over the internet before and he emailed me back and forth for two days. I thought he was legal until now. No more emails since he got his money.
Depends on the email account used I suppose. If its yahoo you just open the mail you got from said person. Then you hit a button that says either full headers or expand headers. You can the IP address there most times.
Was this someone out of the country? Say Europe? I have warned people of the bulldog/frenchie scams over there, but been slammed by a few people who site the legit kennels selling there. I think there are a lot more scams than not from that area. Brokers to say the least.
i agree that some foreign breeders are not legit. but they are right here in the good ole usa also. i bought my female frenchie from a breeder in russia. i correspond with a few others that have frenchies from the same breeder and are also happy with their pups. i am a member of an imported frenchie grou[ also. by talking to people that have bought pups from russia, i know there are three breeders over there that are very good. i also know which ones to be leery of. i keep in touch with her and have made a great foreign friend. scammers are here, there and everywhere. its sad that they do what they do and get away with it. there are things buyers can do to protect themselves. the best is being able to meet the breeder and see the pups. if that is not an option, puppy escrow can save alot of heartache.
This man that scammed me said he was from chicago, ill. Turns out he picked up the money from los angeles,ca. He sent me spoof mail from terrific pets convincing me that the deal was legal. I called terrific pets and told them what happened. The same guy had three other ads on terrific pets with dogs for sale. They said they would post his ads as scams. Please beware of any website that says salebulldogs or nybulldogs at free webs.com. My girls are heartbroken that they will not get a puppy for christmas.
What i did now is added him to my buddy list on aol. The next time he signs on i will know and i will send him tons of instant messages till he sends one back. all i can do now is aggravate the water out of him. am i right?

i havent been scammed but my friend breeds yorkies and has some pictures on puppiefind.com and some how a person got the pictures and is posting them as his. so my sisterin law is posing as someone intrested in the yorkies, they have been emailing backan forth he has told her to send 750 pluse shipping and depsit western union to Texas my sisterin law wrote back and said that they were going to be in texas and woanted to meet the person who has the dog and talk with them. if they liked the dog they would just go ahead and take it from their . he told her he wanted money first then meet, but his email is a yahoo account but at thre end it has uk on it . which is weird because he supposed to live in Texas.
THIS GUY IS LISTED AS NY? BUT IS IN CHICHAGO? LOL I HAVE SHIPPED MY DOBE PUPS ALL THE TIME BUT THIS BREED THE FRENCHIES I WONT SHIP THEM I DONT THINK IT IS SAFE FOR THE PUSHED IN NOSES. HOPEFULLY YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK. DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING AT ALL IN WRITING?
You sent this guy money via Western Union right???? Oh, that's a big red flag right there. We offer that as an option for payment but don't recommend it.
Anyone that insists on getting the money Western Union is probably a scammer! Beware...try to use means that are traceable to some extent. Like a Credit Card (some companies let you recover at least part of your money if a deal goes sour).
If he was really scamming you then I doubt if he used his real name or email addy or anything. Alot of scammers set up accounts just to scam out of.
Just keep reporting him everywhere that you can, and hopefully things will work out. I'll keep my fingers crossed 4 ya!!
Hi, I'm so sorry that happen to you I can only imagine how you feel, I too was almost scammed, I had been looking for a Yorkie for my daughter and came across these ad's on this site and the prices were so low so I emailed these monsters and they all emailed back with the same story they told you only mine were in Africa, well, stupid me at first I believed them but then relized they were scammer's, also to send them the money western union, I reported them all and I had to send them back a nasty email and I never heard from them again, they steal photo's of puppies from other websites and say this is the dog your getting unreal what lenghts they will go too. But remember what goes aroung comes around and one day they will get theirs.... Good luck with the outcome.
Almost 2 years ago I bought my sheltie through the internet. I was naive - sent the money - and the puppy came as promised. I had no idea at the time how fortunate I was and how easily I could have been ripped off. I would never buy from the internet again.
I guess live and learn is the only thing you can do. Again, I am so sorry.
Thanks so much all of you for your support. I too was nieve because I never had to buy a pet off the internet. I could not find a frenchie in my area so I started to look on the internet. I did not know that people were doing this until now. How mean and vicious people are in this world. And it's christmas at that!
I think its horrible. but withwestern union they would have to show some kind of id. i would call the police there. go there and right to his door with the cops. I just dont understand why it did not tip you off that he is saying he is here in ny and then lives in chichago. and a $1000 is WAY too cheap for a frechie. you can try that though go to the address he gave youfor western union with your print outs and the cops. it will force him to do something
