Innova and wellness aren't readily available where I live in Alabama, is all I know. I couldn't find a store locator for Wellness but I did find I do know you can go here to find stores that sell these foods. http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=stores-tab is for innova and Chicken Soup dog food http://www.chickensoupforthepetloverssoul.com/cslocator_distributors.html or here for Canidae http://www.canidae.com/
minniyar, science diet has corn and wheat in it...i thought that wasn't good for the dogs. a good way you could switch your dog over from canned to dry is to keep the dry in it....just add half the can (or however much is half of the recommened amount) into the dry and mix it all together with a little bit of water. your pup will love it and it won't be so hard to switch back to just plan dry food. And it's a good way to keep the teeth cleaner then if it was just wet food.
hey i am so glad to hear that jd is home and doing better !! that is great news ! i know what you mean about the mental health days. i have usually found the higher quality foods like wellness and solid gold in the private petstores. the bigger chains don't seem to carry the higher priced foods, or at least not the variety of them. i would mix the canned with the dry not just feed the canned alone. it may be harder to get him onto just dry food if canned is fed alone. you may also want to feed him three smaller meals a day until he is back to eating normally and is gaining a good amount of weight. then you can cut him back to two meals a day. you and jd have been through alot in a short amount of time. hopefully it is smooth sailing from here on out. keep us up to date. :)

I'm glad JD is doing better, Irohner. Good luck with the rest of JD's hookworm.
thank you amyg and lily wolf for the compliments. i am not a vet. i am a vet tech. though i have been a tech for a long time i am still learning everyday on the job and on this website. there are many people on here who have experiences that i have not and have a wealth of knowledge. this is a great website for all of us. have a great day.
