Our Boston Terrier has a very curious habit of licking large wet spots on my husbands bed whenever we accidentially leave the door open.
Not that it's a big deal, it dries afterall, but does anyone else's fur buddies do this? Any ideas why on earth he would? Dex doesn't do it any other part of the house although I have to say that if you let him, he could groom your arm for half an hour!
Yes, my lab does that. Every morning, I get out of bed to go shower and she stays in bed with my boyfriend. I come back, and my spot has been washed head to toe!!! She licks everything. It's a weird obsession. I suppose you could spray something on the sheets that tastes bad, then you would have to sleep in it!
Sorry you are having the same problem. Your dog isn't weird! Or they all are!!! :)
That's weird, I've heard of that before, too. One of my dogs likes to lick my pants. I'll just be sitting there and he'll come up and start licking my jeans or whatever I have on. Could be the scent they smell, obviously it's for a reason. Sometimes he licks the walls too. I know for a fact they love salt, which is why they love to lick our faces and such. Maybe your dog likes the smell of your sheets lol. I'll never figure out why dogs do this. Strange.

Merphy licks carpet. I bought some Bitter Yuck spray from PetSmart and used it once. He licked it all up. I thought, dang it, he likes it. So they let me take it back. Then, I noticed, Merphy no longer licks carpet. So, I guess it did work!
My dog constantly licks our pillows. I always thought she was just really wierd, but it seems like many other dogs do teh same thing. It does seem like she licks my husband's pillow more than mine though. I don't know why that is.
Rocky will come up to me and lick my pants too. Its odd and anoying so i tell him to stop. Dogs are odd ones but im sure there is a reason for it.
Thinking about it you know how kids will eat boogers and dirt and stuff because there is something in them they are lacking in there body like a vitiman. Maby the dogs are lacking something and its in what ever they are licking.
It's gross, but dogs like the taste of some bodily fluids. My dad has an oozing ulcer on the bottom of his foot and both dogs will do anything to get ahold of a sock or shoe that has that "flavor". Your dogs may like the taste of sweat or drool!
