we have been looking to get another frenchie pup. came accross an ad for a beautiful cream female. and she is in seattle, which is about a 45 minute drive from me. i emailed her and her reply immediatly sent the red flags up ! she sells her pups for 1000 plus free shipping. that is not the problem. she said she was in a motorcycle accidents a few months ago and has audio problems so she can not talk by phone and she only accepts western union for payment. i just emailed her back and told her that i want to be able to see the pup before i buy it and would pay by bankcard or cash in person only. no western union. i havent heard back from her yet. should i be as suspicious as i am ? the purpose of finding a pup so close was to be able to meet the breeder and the pup beforehand.
I understand you and i propose you a secure deal.In order to close the deal I want to involve Puppyfind.com company . The Puppyfind.com company work like a third party that holds the money safe and secure until you will receive the puppy. They setup a contract between you, the buyer, and me, the seller. They will also handle the transfer of funds once you received the puppy. Only with your authorization they will release the funds to me. If you agree with my idea please provide me your full name and address for shipping, so I can initiate the transaction through Puppyfind.com and give to this puppy a loving family. I hope the puppy will be loved in your home.He deserve this. After that they will contact you with transaction details, invoice, payment instructions and more information. Thanks
I prefer emails to phone calls any day. BUT anyone getting a pup from me is welcome to come to my house and bring cash (preferred). I will even hold the pup for a specific time with NO deposit so that a buyer has a chance to come see the pup if they so desire.
yeah i was suspicious of the wording also. she also wants to go through puppyfind. i looked all through that site and found nothing about an escrow service at all. i am writing back one last time. if she cant agree to let me come see the pup, i am not interested.
i sent her this reply , but i have a feeling she is really skirting around the home visit idea.
we will not buy what he can not see in person. too many scams going on lately. I inquired on your ad because you do have a female, which is what we are looking for. and also you were close. we bought our female from russia because tatiana is a friend and we trust her. no offense but we donít know you. we would really like to see her in person. the pics both look the same and donít show side or rear views of her at all. do you have any other pics ? and also am curious as why you seem to have a problem with being able to actually see the pup and i would think that most people would prefer cash ?. ....................deb

She is a cutie, but that cuteness wears off after all the vet visits and vet bills. (Well, the cuteness doesn't but, you know what I mean!) Also, it almost looks like she had tear marks wiped away. She is awfully young to be tearing isn't she? I am not positive with Frenchies. I know with Poms and Chows, tearing that young is not good.
Tear Stains: If your dog has a white face you may find that over time the tears from his eyes cause his face to stain red. This may be attributed to the red colouring in the food heís eating but this is not always the case, some bulldogs produce red tears and some donít, those with white faces will have these stains more than dark coloured faces. A daily wipe with "Optrex" eye wash will help, Optrex contains boric acid and witch-hazel which will break up the stain and will not effect the dogs eyes as the solution specifically for use in the eyes.
i got that from the bulldog care site.alot of the cream frenchies on my frenchie forum have the tear stains under their eyes. its pretty commom with the lighter pups. annie has some tear staining she has had since puppyhood. it just doesnt show up as prominant because of her dark fawn coloring. i just dont feel right about this person. what i think is : she is a broker. i have not recieved any more pics. i specifically asked for them. why does she insist on shipping ? even though i told her i want to pick the puppy up so that i can check her out before i buy her. seattle has sea-tac airport. a major airport. i think she buys puppies in bulk from foreign counties. i think she is also foreign, by the wording she uses. i doubt these are her own home raised puppies as she claims. she also refered to puppy as a "he", when the ad states its a "she". alot of things just dont add up.
OMG - this is the scam that got me a year and a half ago - either run away from this one or have a good time with them - if the ad is on here, report it to the Admin immediately so they can remove the ad. If you keep playing with them, they will eventually tell you that they are not in Seatle - they are in Chicago instead.
Interesting about the tear stains . . . Biance my white Bulldog has red tear stains and I have tried so many things with not much luck.
BTW - Bianca turns 1 tomorrow, trying to decide what special activity to do with her (you know, Bulldogs aren't really into activities).
