The flight rules you will need to ask the airline. Each airline has a diffrent rule and they will be able to inform you of the rules of importing as well.
Animals always have to travel in at least a crate but often as cargo which gets pricey. A siberian is not a small dog so you better find out what the cargo rates are becuase your flight may not be equiped to travel cargo.
Where are you located? If you are in a rabies free country your going to have a hard time. You'll need to contact your countries Dept. of agriculture. Most likely you have to do Titers and testing and rabies free countries do usually have a quarantine.. Its very difficult.
yes alexanderia i think it might be diffucult...ive never shipped although i did call and get info..its kind of complicated...but...it does happen...and often..i would start with calling airlines...and then call your country and see if it has requirments..it cant be real hard...many import and export all the time...good luck..and they do have some requirments on keeping then in cabin...i hope it works out for you..
Thanks alot everybody, I really don't want to mess this up. I've been saving my whole life to get one of these dogs and then I had a couple of bad monthes and had to use my saved money for rent. Now my whole family has chipped in so I can get one.. I have found a couple who are going to have pups in to months that are nieghbors to a friend of mine.. I going to meet with them this weekend.. Might just but one of thiers.. we'll see can't get one right now anyways so I just being carefull and getting as much info I can.
Not complicated to travel abroad. I live in Mexico and I go back and forth with my dog all the time. You will need a health certificate and then you will need to go to the USDA dept. with your health certificate and they generate a paper and stamp it and you are done. Then contact the airline you are flying with and they will tell you how much a ticket costs for your pup. My poodle is small 10 lbs so I can bring her on the plane in a little bag that fits under the seat in front of me. A husky will be larger so he will probably have to fly as cargo. People fly with dogs all the time. Dont worry it will work out...you will finally have your Husky you have been waiting for.
