I donít know what is wrong with her (she is a 4 lbs Pomeranian). Every once in a wile she will start holding her back leg close to her body and will start to shake a little. She will look off into space like she is gone. She will stand stiff as a board and fall right over on her side. Then she will try to walk and the whole time her little leg is curled up on her little body. She will only do this every once and awhile and it last about 3-5 min.
I took her to the vet and they couldnít find anything wrong and now they want to run a whole bunch of test that will coast me about $500 and I donít know if I want them to do all of that. Exceptionally because they donít know if anything is even wrong with her. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I am very lost..
It migth be a seizure. Epiletic dogs can't be diagnosed. There's no test to find out if they are. Google Epilesy (sp) and they tell you the different kinds of seizues there are. If she is doing this more than twice a month she will need to be medicated. They can live normal lives. My beagle is epiletic she has seizues every 2 to 3 months.
Yes he did see one and I know what one looks like because I use to deal with people that had them I was a PA in a DRs office for a few years. But my vet saw one of hre episodes and he was stumped on what it was. I have never seen anything like it and I can't find anything on it eather. So anyones help would be Wonderful.
