I am looking to buy a Pomeranian puppy and there is this very well known respectable breeder near me that has a male puppy that is just beautiful but he has a inguinal hernia and she has told me it could close on it's own or could be fixed at the same time as its neutered. I just wondering if anyone could tell me around how much it is to have it fixed? and during the time before we have it fixed would it hurt if we accidentally touch him near it? Also does it cause any pain having it? I would really appreciate any info on it I have searched it up a little I really want to know what the price is to have it repaired.
Thanks for the info scout1. I don't mind paying a few hundred to have in fixed I just don't want it to be like $500 or more. MommaMia I live in california. Does anyone know if the puppy is in pain having the hernia, and is it something that he can hurt playing around?
i dont think it causes them any great discomfort and in most cases they dont tend to make it any worse but it is something that needs to be fixed. and supposedly hernias are genetic so the breeder shouldnt breed that particular pair of dogs again.
