I found this little guy on my doorstep in the freezing cold. I've had him for about 2 weeks now. He is so playful and cute! Tried finding the owner, but nobody claimed him. He looked so pitiful when I found him on my porch! I named him Charlie, it suits him quite well I think.
Charlie is adorable. Both of my dogs are foundlings who went unclaimed. They're the best accidents I've ever had. I bet Charlie is glad he picked your porch and is thrilled to be getting the love and attention he deserves.
He is very adorable. Like Basset lover said though, he really does look like someone's pet.
He looks VERY well cared for and looks like he was brushed daily. You should run local ads, they are free in most papers and you may try your city's website or even this site's found section. I am sure he has a family devastated for him not knowing he is with you!
You are wonderful to take him in though and you probably have saved his life!
What ever he is he is beautiful... my youngest dog is a little girl I resuced from dog pound they had her one month no one claimed her, she is now 7 and seems so grateful and so sweet, we can't convince her that she is not the owner of our home though, she is Queen! lol
The most well behaved dog I ever had was a mutt, he lived for 18 years grew up with my children and we took him in too.
Please! try and find his owners before you get attach to him.I know someone is looking for the little stinker. post signs up and let people know you found their baby. He looks to groom for me to had been abandon by someone.even if you had him groom, still he is somebody puppy and theyre looking for him. if you do all you can as far as finding his owners and no one claim him then at lease you would feel good that you tried and it wont be any guilt on your part. then love him and take care of him.
I forgot to mention that these pictures were taken 3 days after I found him. When he was at my doorstep, he was full of mud so I gave him a bath that night. He reaked really bad, so I'm guessing he might have been lost for a week or so. I didn't have him groomed at a shop or anything, I just brushed him daily.
He also knew some tricks. He walks on his hind legs and rolls over so his belly could be scratched. He is quite a character!
When I was sweeping one day, he was scared to death of the broom. He might have been abused previously. He's very very friendly, too.
He is a stunning looking fluff ball. He is either a maltalier which is a maltese x cavalier king charles or a cavoodle, which is a poodle x cavalier king charles. I tend to think more the maltalier. They are a very popular xbreed or otherwise known as a designer breed but they make fantastic pets.
Sounds like he has landed on his feet by finding you, hope you will keep him.
Charlie could be poodle/silky maltise/terrier. I have a dog that looks like to charlie and she's the best dog i've ever had there really protective believe it or not . And by the way charlie is a real cutie. Wuv bitty
