Ok, Merphy was fixed about 3 months ago. Before that, he had constant boners (sorry for the politically incorrect term). He got fixed and he didn't have them anymore. Now, he again has them constantly. It's quite embarrassing since its very obvious, especially with the way he sits.
Well, I guess it its. Max has been fixed for several years now and he still every once in a while won't leave Mandy alone. It goes on for a couple of days and thats it. He also is real grippy with Tina and does not want her around them during this time. She knows to stay away.
No need to feel embarrased, it's not as if you are the one getting around in such a state, lol.
It is perfectly natural for dogs to occasionally find themselves in that state and it is even possible for neutered males to mate and end up in a "tie" but of course the only difference is that there are no pups at the end of such a fling, lol.
I wouldn't worry about it. It takes about 2-3 months for testosterone to slowly dissipate from the dog's system so you will find that as time goes by this isn't going to happen all that often.
