I had one live to be almost 15. He was very active most his life too. the last month or so was hard because he got arthritus and the last week he couldnt walk but all in all he lived a long happy active life.
thank you all she is nine years old we had her since she was 3 months . i have noticed that she is starting to lose some of her teeth and she developing arthirist too. i look at her and think about it, i know it sounds bad but i m scared thta one day i will wake up and find her gone. i was wondering is arthirist kind of a warning sign or something it sounds dumb i know, but thank you all for the info .
No, arthritis is more a sign of old age, not upcoming death. Most older and geriatric dogs need joint support and/or pain relief as a normal part of aging, and go one to live many years after. (lord, I hope not, I have had problems with arthritis since I was in my 20's, lol)
