Well, I brought Noah home on Tuesday and he really has been beyond great. He is so mellow and is learning to go outside. He sleeps with me at night and has not messed on the floor yet at night. I feel like I'm living a dream can a puppy really be this good?
Congratulations on the new pup..I am the "grandmother" of 3 goldens soon to be 4 that live with my son in northern california...redding..He has trained them for search and rescue in the mountains...His first goldens that did this were 10 before they stopped rescue and both lived to 13...Enjoy!!!
Congrats on your pup!! pIctures???? You are truely lucky and blessed. You would not believe how many hyper hyper goldens I have seen!! I can tell you honestly I have never met a non hyper one. Most are just bouncing off the walls until 2 or 3 years.Good luck!! Do you plan on him going to puppy classes??He sounds like a dream I cnat wait to see pics!!
He is probably more mellow than most Golden Retrievers but of course he'll still have energy especially the older he gets. But if you keep him exercised (I know you will) and trained he'll probably be very good.
My boy, Hayden, is calmer but he still has a lot of energy. He is hyper at first but then he calms down very quickly.
congrats...im so glad you are so in love with your new pooch...but...believe me......lol..its the clam before the storm...pups are all cute..but little packages of tnt...just enjoy him..and do keep us posted and show him off...we all want to see...again...im sooooo glad things worked out so well...
Thanks everyone, well night three and no mess over night took him out first thing this morning at 6 and he's doing great. He's gonna be a big boy he's already 18 pounds and growing. The kids just love him.
