I took Beulah for her first obediance class today and was soooo proud of her. I want to use her as a therapy animal. I have never done it before and would like to get into it. So, the first step was a normal obediance class.
She was so good! And so much more relaxed than the other dogs, makes me think she will be great at therapy. The other dogs run and bark at each other and she just lays down, like "so what!" ha ha..
Anyway, just braggin! :) We still have lots of work, but it made me feel really proud. The therapy program here doesn't have a workgroup until June, so I have these months to work with her so she can be great by then!!
Sounds wonderful..sounds like she is going to be a natural...great going shows what a great job you have done with her so far...it can only be better...congrats on doing theraphy work in the future...its such a great thing to do...
We use therapy animals at the hospital where I work (Miami Valley Hospital), and the patients absolutely love them! I work nights, 7p-7a, and I have seen 2 Golden retrievers, one Corgi, a Yorkie, and a variety of cats. There is a Great Pyrenees that goes to the Children's hospital in Dayton and the kids are afriad of her at first, since she is so big, but once she comes up and nuzzles them, they love her! Congrats to Beulah...she'll do great!
