My yellow lab puppy is about 4 months old. The other day I was rubbing her belly and found a bump on her stomach by one of her nipples. It almost looks like it is a wart or a mole. Should I get this checked out or give it time and then deal with it then? I don't know if it is something serious enough to take her to the vet. I don't want to take her in if it is going to be nothing. I will have to pay lots of money just to take her in! I would though, she is worth it! I would really appreciate the help! Thanks everyone!!
It could be an inguinal hernia which most likely occurs in female dogs although it is not uncommon in male dogs but having said this, it's just guesswork and you should take your dog to the vet as it could be potentially serious; having dogs means that you should be prepared to have it seen by a vet just as you would go to see a doctor if you have any doubts regarding your health. Sometimes people are afraid of going to the vet because, let's face it, they charge like wounded bulls and it's the most common form of legal, daylight robbery, besides legal eagles, lol, but it can cost a hell of alot more if it becomes an emergency situation.
