I have not read this whole thread and quite frankly see no need in it. It is sickening to see of the things being said to someone who chooses to be a vegetarian.
For the record there are different levels of being a vegetarian. So do eat eggs and dairy products. Just because someone is a vegetarian doesn't mean they are unhealthy. They are many ways to get your vitimain and minerals that does not involve you eating flesh. Look into it you may be surprised.
True be told a yr ago I had no desire to be a vegetarian. 3 mths ago i had no desire. I would have thought someone was crazy if they said I would be one one day. Oh I said alot of the same things said here. I love meat too much. I could never give it up. But once I started actually talking to people who were vegetarians the more it made sense. No looking at meat is not the on the top of my list of things I like. But i have kids and a husband who i do not impose my beliefs on other people.
And before someone asks yes I do still eat some diary products. No I am not proud of it. But it is still something I have not given. Call me a hypocrite all you want. Its my own demon to bare. And one day it too will be a thing of the past...
***for those who love fast food read Fast Food Nation it may make you rethink things...Also try watching Super Size Me thats another good wake up call**
Off the soap box now. I still like and admire alot of people here but some of the things said here kinda bothered me and I felt the need to let it out.
Sorry, guys but this has nothing to do with god. If it did or does, then you should go to a religious forum and ask them why god would do that........most plain ole' animal lovers just do not have the answers to your questions about god. Sorry we could not be of more help! :)
(BTW, I am not in any way affiliated with god or any of his workers, nor the devil or any of his workers, in all honesty I am more of an entrapeneur just trying to spread joy throughout the land! :D)
All of a sudden I'm craving a big bloody medium rare steak. Maybe a big juicy pork chop on the side. Does this get your "knickers" in a bunch Queen Cassie? lmao - written by Cinnaeve.
Nope, that doesn't bother me one little bit; sorry I can't join you in your blood quest; don't forget the fresh bread that you can soak up every little droplet of blood dripping onto your plate....can't let that go to waste now, can we???
Here you go buddy, I looked it up for you. This is what kind of vegetarian you would be considered. Lacto-ovovegetarians exclude meat, poultry, and fish but include dairy products and eggs. Most vegetarians in the US are lacto-ovovegetarians.
We all know what I wrote silly. You don't have to put my name beside my quote (which would require "'s to make your point better understood by the way) We may not be able to punctuate or spell. However, I'm pretty sure that by hitting reply and making responses that convey the materials in this particular discussion thread, I gather we are all capable of reading lol
Don't expect to be greeted with warm responses when you basically bash God. You won't get it from me, that's for sure.
I will now be a good Christian and simply ignore the rest of your horrible posts from now on.
I urge other posters to do the same. Maybe if we just ignore her and stop responding to her posts (which are designed to entice others), perhaps she'll either go away or start posting on meaningful, unoffensive topics.
Don't feed the trolls!
Good night. :)
Rebel, I just read your post and had to respond. I totally respect vegetarians and vegans. It's actually a very healthy diet. Several of my best friends are vegans, and I used to be a vegetarian myself. The problem I have is Cassandra coming on here and bashing people that eat meat, and even blamed God for it. Then she says she does eat eggs. Hello! Hypocrite! Everyone has their own preference and should be respected (not judged) for it.
***Edited By: Cinnaeve on 2/12/2006 12:59:35 AM*** Reason: add
Rebel, I can't speak for everyone on this thread but I am only half serious in my replys.
I don't care who wants to eat what or where they want to eat it.
I just don't think it's right for her to make a thread about "bloodshed" and try to push her beliefs off as being the only correct way. I don't want to be condemned by a vegetarian for eating meat.
This is the reason alot of people have fun at the expense of vegetarians. There are alot of things that I am into and I don't make a thread about it and try to make everyone think the same way as me and damn everyone who doesn't in my way.
Point being here, Cassandra seems to make alot of potentially upsetting threads.
I understand and respect your point of view, I hope I have made it clear enough for you to respect mine.
It's very obvious that you have not understood the fundamental point here and that wasn't go criticise meat eaters but to try and understand why this is so.
There is no need to get defensive and uptight about this and don't point me out as being the sole culprit as some of you have a habit of getting inflamed all too easily and not just with me either so put that in your pipe and smoke it, lol.
I do respect your views and anyone else's on this. i have brought it up maybe once on here that i became a vegetarian.
Yes I have seen alot of vegans and vegetarians go a little over board when discussings their beliefs with others who do not share those beliefs. But i have to say that if I was not exposed to those people i probally wouldn't be a vegetarian today. I don't know.
At any rate. i probally should have stayed out of this thread. Its late and I have 3 people sick with flu at my house 9husband and 2 kids) so I am tired and a little on edge.
Everyone be good and be happy. And remeber I DO respect other people's beliefs. Whether it be what they eat or whatever. Just please remeber that Cass is not the only vegetarian on this board.
I am still confused on what this has to do with god? And.....since you are so hellbent(no pun intended...it just worked out that way) on making your answer be that it IS god.....what are WE supposed to do about it??
cassandra, your name should be ASSandra. I don't think I have ever replied to one of your posts. This will be the first and last time I do. If you ever get to heaven,.... you can ask God himself that question. GOOD NIGHT
Katz, Hopefully one day he will soften up and realise that even animals, his own creations, have feelings and may decide that we do not need to resort to eating meat hopefully; but that would be in an ideal world and since that has never been the case, I have every reason to believe that it never will be either but I can dream, can't I?
Jeanief - I suppose your god is fine with with you insulting others who are simply trying to understand.
And nope, I don't think there is a place for me in 'heaven' cause I haven't been to confession in years, can you believe that? I haven't sat in front of a man with a black robe whose soul is as dark as the robe he is wearing.............!!!!
Yup, I'm for real, Cassandra, been around the block a few times, and I'm also a vegetarian. Perhaps I'm being puerile, but once again, please answer my questions. What do you feed your carnivorous dogs, and who do you blame for this so-called bloodshed?
