Hi, actually, an ADORABLE stray cat (very tiny, skinny, and looks like a kitten) is hanging out in my friend's back yard. Her mom doesn't like it, it's black, she's supersticious. She lets it hang out in the back yard, but they don't have any cat food, and they can't get any either. Right now, my friend has been feeding it milk and bread. Is that okay, what else can she feed it? Well, thank you, if you know of any helpful websights, please post them! Thank you so much! Little Lady :)
A little bit of milk is ok as a treat. Like a small cap full/ just enough to coat the bottom of the bowl.
My cats love it once in a while. But a steady diet of milk is no good. And bread is basically a filler.
You should leave a fresh bowl of water out daily and things you can feed: tuna fish, other types of fish, chicken, turkey, poultry, liver etc....cats like their meat. That should be good until you can get to the store and pick up some cat food.
The cat is not going to die from a little milk until she can get some cat food. It will not happen. At most the cat may experience some diarrhea.
Next time you google try looking and reading more than just the first article that pops up.
We are all capiable of using google but I think the OP was looking for someone that had some hands on experience with it. My cats get alittle milk from time to time as do my dogs and it does not hurt them.
Last year when I had 12 rottie puppies I soaked their puppy food in warm milk. No diarrhea or nothing. They loved it. I did it under advice of one of the mods here that had puppies as well.

Hey, well thanks. But her mom isn't going to let her feed it cat food. She doesn't like the cat. She won't get it cat food. She's fine with it hanging around the house and feeding it what they already have, but we have asked her several times to get it cat food, but she won't. Well, thanks, they have some meet around the house, so we'll give it some. It is going to be bellow freezing tonight, and the cat can't come inside, will it be okay? We put a towel outside for her, do you think it will help? Well, thanks again!
Cats have a great survival instict. He will find a place to stay warm.
Calling someone tonight will do no good. At least not in my state or any state I have lived in. If it is not a vicious animal, or hurt animal in the road they will not respond. They will tell you to call back in the morning.
Call 911 for a non emergency? It got a person in my area arrested for harassment. A stray cat out in the cold is not an emergency.
Mix the milk with water. Most cats are lactose intolerant, but no, it's not going to kill them. Just because some people are allergic to peanuts, it doesn't keep me from eating them. And just because a cat is lactose intolerant, it isn't going to kill it. My 18 year old cat licks out my ice cream bowl-it's her favorite treat! So she must be doing something right!
