There's a law in the City of Tulsa that prohibits keeping a dog intact after it turns six months, police dogs being the exception, unless you have a hobbyist's license. I don't live in Tulsa (but in the area), and this law struck me as odd. I'm not a breeder, but I have intact dogs and I don't want to spend the time and money to get a license if this comes to my town. It's an excellent law, but it's not shaped for exhibitors-but-not-frequent-breeders, and I know quite a few in Green Country (northeast OK). Input on this?
Unfortunately, Oklahoma is considering BSL. The all-breed clubs, specialty clubs, and training clubs are all fighting it, hand in hand. I hope it doesn't pass. Punish the deed, not the breed. >_<
Anyway, off to St. Louis, MO, on the 2nd of March for the toy specialty there, then going to Belleville for the next three days for an all-breed show (we'll still stay in St. Louis since Belleville is about 30 minutes away). I'm also meeting an online friend there, so I'm quite excited. If anyone's going... :D
