Yes, a wirehaired dachshund might be short haired, long haired or smooth. At least in Germany you can buy them this way, which are recognized within the German Registry. You can show or hunt with them for prizes.
dachshund, I have my sister send one to me and I'll post it for you. I sent her your dogster page and she was in shock by how much they look alike. Bonnie is just a little lighter in color then Nicky, but they look like they could be brother and sister.

African Greys are fun. Our Smoky can say for example "Nicky, back off", "Move" (when he walks on the floor and wants the dogs to move), "You want some cola?", "Good morning", "bye, bye", "you lost your mind" and so on. That's only half of what he says.
However they do can bite, which hurts. I can attest to that. He got me before.;-)
Casper our Cockatoo, says for example "give me a kiss" and makes the sound afterwards, "Good night", "night, night" and many more things. He also mumbles a lot too.
Beamer our conure says for example "Beamer", "pretty, pretty (for about 15 times) bird", which is really funny. He doesn't say much more than that. He does say "hallo".

That's some really cool stuff your birds can say! Is it hard to teach them to say things, or do they just kind of pick up on the things you say? How long have you had your African Grey? I didn't even know Cockattos could talk! Is there a type of bird you would refer a first time bird owner to? I do not necessarily want a Parikete, but if that would be the best..... Well, thanks!
P.S. If you're married, is your spouce trained as well as your birds? Lol! :)
Thank you so much! I have been googling African Greys. I probably won't get one for a couple (or a lot, considering I'm just about to start High School :) more years. But I can't wait! They sound like a lot of fun. And I'm use to noise, I have an 11 year old brother who just got a drum set! Yikes! ;) Well, thanks again! Little Lady :)
