haha messy messy messy .. the joys of having dogs.. we cant help it dogs love getting messy, when i bring my pom back from the groomers he looks at me as if to say "what did you do to me mommy" .. what breed are your dogs?
Actually, for all who were wondering, Koda has found a home, he will be going to his new home in California in the next few weeks. I have searched VERY hard for the perfect home and believe I have found it.
Ahh...mud. Dogs like nothing better than to tromp around in it, eh? It does look like they had fun! Congrats on finding a new home for your dog, as well. I know how hard it can be to find the perfect fit.
IcyHound-very nice. That is very similar to what we have started building for Maggie. I don't have the time or the patience to wash a muddy dog and a muddy house every time it rains. Till we are done with the project, we are very careful about where she goes outside-and it DOESN'T involve mud!!!
It's funny to see Chingy so dirty. My Chow mix and his mother both HATE to be wet or dirty. Alex refuses to even go outside if it's raining or if the ground is wet. I have to be forceful with him to get him outside before I have to leave for work. Alex is a wimp! Ha Ha! Maybe you could teach Chi to wipe his feet on a towel before he walks all over the house! Thank God for linoleum, huh? Very nice Icy. Your dogs are beautiful!
daaaaaaaaang.... that sucks no other way to put it! now that is a lot of dog to wash and house!!!! Have you thought of putting hay out to make it less muddy? My Dad used to do that for a shady spot in our backyard. It helped a bit.
by the way icyhound your dogs are BEAUTIFUL!!! are they afgans? I have a greyhound.
We are not too worried, we are letting him has his fun now as there will soon be a garage and patio over alot of the yard, which is currently mud. Then we are having sod laid down and we are hoping to get a good foundation of good grass.....right now, we have a little bit of green weeds! Now, chances are this will be over the course of a couple years but we are in planning stages now......hopefully we will start soon!
I'm going to be in the same boat with all of mine. We are getting so much rain in Dallas that we are about to float away. We really needed it but boy is hard because the dogs will go to the garage and tee tee on papers but they want to go outside to potty and it hasn't stopped raining long enough for them to even go out. It will take a month for all of this to dry up.
Having been in Katz shoes I started building the run when we moved in July of 2005. It took me a few months to pave it complelty and I'm adding another section next month. All told it is currently 1100 pavers down and including the deck 1500 feet of room. The new addition will be another 200 feet. All of it paved.
I show the afghans, and frankly I dont need mud clogging my pipes constnatly and washing them outside is not always an option.
