In a reccent topic i posted, alot of people said that a papillion best fit my lifestyle. so i did some research. some sites said that they do best with older, considerate children. while others said they do okay with small children as well. i have a 2, 5, and 9 year old siblings, and i would like to know what papillions are really like! i have heard they can be snappy, and could be difficult to housebreak. i am going to be a first time dog owner and trainer. anybody have anything about them? any owners out therE? please help me!

Is this your only breed choice?? A Papillon? Just wondered, cuz I have had experience with; Keeshonds, American Eskimos, and Schipperkes, with children, and they seem to be very good with them. If you go to The American Kennel Club website you can learn more about Papillons, and find reputable breeders, then call a few of the breeders, and ask alot of questions!! Good Luck!!

I used to have one ; I can tell you from personal experience that they are truly loving family dogs. They bark when somebody is at the door, but not too much and they protect you with strangers. They are very friendly, easy to train, and an all around family dog. They like people a lot and love to play, I would reccomend them anytime at all.!
