OK! I feel like I've read all the posts I can read without being sick, and I need to comment.
First off, anyone who is giving so much attention to a rescue dog that they feel their own home isn't a good enough environment for their own pets isn't providing a good secure home to any rescues they take in.
Second of all, any dog lover who takes in rescues instead of properly caring for their own "beloved" pets first and foremost shouldn't be taking in rescues.
Thirdly, I don't believe it's about the money. I believe it's about a completely selfish good feeling some people get from bringing in as many creatures as they can handle, and then going onto public message boards and boasting about how put-out they are by the vet bills.
