research, research, research. You can go ahead and get your females if you want, but don't invest in a male right away. This will give you time to read up and study study study about the breed, breeding, whelping, problems you can encounter.
if you come across questions you have dont' be afraid to ask them on here. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here who have been doing it for years, (not me though) I have learned alot from them!
The first thing I would do is make the kennel, fence in the yard, etc.
Go to as many shows as you can! See whats winning in the breed, or did you want field dogs? Than go to trails, see who's dogs are doing well, than try to get dogs from them. LEARN YOUR BREED STANDARD!!!
