Since I have only 1 intact, that being Ubs...I need to find a female to mix his wonderful Pyr lines with. AKC registered, TOTAL top of the line Pyr bloodlines, won at the only show he ever entered (OK, so he was only one of 3 entered, another dog and a bitch), etc...
Although he IS a bit old (turned 2 in April), so I guess he's not in his prime. We can make up for his old age by using a really young bitch!
Since I had no intention of breeding him, I have not had anything beyond the standard health care and screenings, but his father, grandparents, etc..have OFA and DNA on record, that shouldn't be too much of a problem, we don't have to mention it to anyone.
We need something REALLY small (have to go for the mini, teacup size, you know, to fit in a pocketbook). I guess it will take a couple of breedings to scale them down, you know, smaller each time?
He sheds, double coats tend to REALLY blow coat twice a year, so we need something that doesn't shed a lot.
Any takers out there?
Keep in mind, whatever the breed is, we have to be able to combine it with some form of Great Pyrenees to create a "cutsie" name so we can charge at least $2,500.00 per pup for this totally unique breed!
Pyrmom - I have a 7 month old Sheltie girl that I think is going to come into heat soon... I wasn't planning on breeding her this heat cycle - but if you can guarantee me that we're going to rake in thousands of dollars - I'm all for it!
We could call them Shetland Pyrenees puppies - or Great Sheepdogs. :)
Of course since Mahry is only 13 1/2 inches and 15 lbs we're going to have to figure out whose going to pay for the c-section - or we could just find one of those cheap farm vets that the puppymills use and have it done for $20...
I have a designer dog and when people ask me if she (Cody is a he but so cute everyone thinks he is a girl) is a Bichon I reply "No, he is our 1/2 breed, half Bichon and half Westie" :) I did not pay big bucks for him either !:)
mammamia....I have some males!! What is your pleasure? Min Pin or Pug? There are a couple dogs in my town that run loose all the time as well, unnuetered males, I'm sure we can sneak them inside for a quick breeding....lmao
Hey~ LPN, got any intact females? can you imagine a Pugapyr? lol! ----------------------------------------------- Why, yes I do! I have 2 intact girls. One just went into retirement to permanant couch warming duties since reaching her old age, lol. (6) But I can take her out of retirement for you!
I'd like a Mastiff that doesn't shed or drool. So, I'm thinking I should mix it with a poodle, and call it a Mast-a-foodle. I met a really hot guy yesterday that has a 7-month old male mastiff that was beautiful. So, I would need a female, intact poodle. To keep the size down, I think it would be best to use a Mini poodle, or how about a toy.
Are there any mini or toy poodle owners that would like to offer their uteral services? I'll donate a big bag of Ol Roy and a tub of bacon grease!
Minniyar, I think the "Lesser Pyrenees" would be a great idea, just have to figure out what to put with a Pyr to get one! I'm thinking Eskies, similar coat and all, but the ears would be a toss-up, and the shape of the muzzle.
