and you guys talk about people breeding designer dogs when you guys are contributing to over population just the same no i wonder how many of u breeders sell desxed puppies spay or nueter contracts and have all your dogs liscensed registered and genitc tested
texas - I don't breed a single litter unless I hav at least 75% of the possible puppies spoken for (deposits down, interviews completed) - and usually I'm looking to grow a puppy out from that litter for conformation or Obedience.
I play 99% of my puppies on spay/neuter contracts.
I genetic test.
I don't have to be licensed in my area.
I'm not a hypocrit. I only expect from others what I expect from myself.
Well, Texas, can't speak for anyone else. (and I am NOT a breeder) But I can tell you that the breeder that I got my PUREBRED pup from had a waiting list a mile long (yes, some people didn't get puppies). She also required a spay/neuter contract. She still keeps in touch with us, over a year after we brought Maggie home. We exchange pictures-she kept one of the pups, so we are always comparing notes on their behaviors, health, and everything else. So yes, I'd say she has a lifelong interest in the well-being of this pup. And in case you didn't read it in one of my other posts (you seem good at just reading what you want to read and ignoring the rest) she also had health tests done on both parents, gave me a copy of the results, and a pedigree going back several generations. How many of your mixed breed breeders do that? Can you name even ONE?
