Rain or Shine!! Sale Under Tent!! Concessions Available!!
SELLER’S STATEMENT: My wife & I with much thought & consideration have decided to sell the kennel business. We have come to a point in our lives where we would like to slow down, enjoy our grandchildren and each other. We will miss our dogs tremendously as we have raised most of them here and they are all so well socialized. Our dogs have made it so that we can retire as they have been a great source of income. If you will be good to them they will be very good to you. We will miss them a lot and we hope you can attend our sale. Sincerely, Don Mayberry
AUCTIONEER’S STATEMENT: I have known the Mayberry’s for many years. They have always been excellent breeders and maintained a top kennel. I have personally purchased dogs from them in the past and recommended them for quality dogs to other breeders. Their dogs will be worth the trip to the auction. The dogs consigned to this auction are from select kennel closeouts and will be young and of excellent quality as well. Chadd & I will be looking forward to seeing you there. Thanks, Bob
VETERINARIAN STATEMENT: I have been the Mayberry’s Vet for approx. 12 yrs. I have been to their kennel many times. The dogs and kennel have been kept in the best of conditions. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good dog. Desire Self DVM

to arkansas >? think we should have left yesterday then.
from what i understand about dog auctions are ..... they DESPISE rescue people coming and bidding on their dogs. to the point where the sick -i have a potty mouth- will cause trouble for you. and for the average person that has no idea what to expect ... the conditions of the animals they auction off are so horrid it would drive the most meek of people to want to commit murder.
oh my god!!!! what the HELL!?!?!? i hate people like that pisses me off! im sorry i know caps lock is not allowed but oh well I HATE THOSE IDIOTS. the great source of income qoute made me go over the roof.
How sad. I don't even have to leave early to get to auction. I only live about 45 min. from there. I have never heard of that kennel. Just makes me sick. I would go check it out but I would need some one to stay home so they can bail me out of jail when I get my one phone call.
Ok sounds good to me. I will try to keep it a cheap crime. Maybe I will go for major hurt instead of murder. I tried to get my daughter to go with me to check it out but she said NO!! A few monthes ago we had Dealing Dogs (The HBO special )now we have this. Arkansas must be trying to get to the top of the list for puppy mills.
Dirty -i have a potty mouth-! What -i have a potty mouth- s! I can't belive people, any people, for thinking this is ok or accepable.
I'm in SW Missouri, and I would love to go there, out of morbid curiosity, and for the pure enjoyment I would get out of telling everyone what they were doing, should they buy a dog from this -i have a potty mouth-.
These auctions are not for the faint of heart. I live in the heart of mill auction country and while I know better than to attend one, I have friends who do. But, if anyone there even remotely suspects you of being "a bleeding heart rescue person" not only will they raise the cost of the dogs so high the rescuers cannot afford to get them, but they've even been known to accuse people of taking photos with their cell phone camera and literally threatening them.
These people are not to be messed with and one can place themselves in harm's way quite unknowingly. I admire those that have the strength to attend these auctions and rescue as many dogs as they can, but they have been "accepted" into that group of people and should it ever be learned they are in rescue, quite literally their lives could be in serious danger.
In addition, it is not unusual at all for the people who attend these auctions (not the rescuers) to monitor or have others monitor breed specific lists, etc. in an effort to learn if any 'rescues" are going to be attempted. We had this happen with an auction last summer in Wheaton, MO. A gal from one of the Chinese Crested lists announced on several public forms & yahoo groups of her plan to attend to save as many cresties as she could....fortuntely for her she got out of there unscathed, but not before she was accused of taking photos, literally manhandled to her vehicle & escorted off the property.
So, moral of the story is...if you're going to attend don't announce it in a public form setting.
This is SO sad :( I couldn't believe the number of dogs and the irresponsibility of these "breeders". Yep,the line of them making a great profit for their retirement got me too! How sick and pathetic these people(term used very lightly!)are. I just couldn't stand to go to one of these types things. I would think to me,personally,it would liken to the experiences I've had of livestock auctions as a child....just sick!!!
