Recently, my cat had 2 kittens. My dog, a female boxer, took a keen interest in the kittens. She will not hurt them and she will try to snuggle with them. After about a week, my dog is very very gently carying around squeeking dog toys and crying as if they are her puppys and she wants us to do something with the toy. We have absolutely NO CLUE what to do with the toy to make her happy. We believe she also thinks that the kittens are hers. PLEASE HELP!!! she will cry for HOURS at a time before falling asleep with her toy.

Now on to your original post... I have no idea... it sounds kinda cute but also really sad that she cries for that long. How old is your dog & has she been spayed?

I only know that dogs do go through what's called "false pregnancies". They actually think inanimate objects are their pups - in this case yours has the real thing, just kittens!
