I went to our local flea market this past Friday and there were people there selling puppies. They had some in kennels on a table and some were in bird cages in the back of their truck! They had 3 puppies stuffed in a cage together and they could hardly turn around. There were purebreds and designer mixes. They had the nerve to have plastic over the kennels like they were looking out for the welfare of their puppies (the plastic kept the public from breathing on them but also kept the air from getting to them). It was a hot day and none of them had room to even have a water bowl. I live in a different state but I am going to find out how I can get the proper authorities involved in the treatment of these puppies. They are living, breathing things. These people only see dollar signs. It's disgusting!

You know I've seen that before at a local flea market. I don't know what would possess a person in their right mind to place a puppy in a bird cage. For those of you in the So. Calif area, I saw this at the Santa Fe Springs flea market. I only went their once and I was disgusted by that.
