where ever they want, but inside I hate listening to dogs barking mine or other peoples.
My old neighbour had an australian shepherd and 2 shelties that they put outside at 630 aam and left out until 11 or 12 at night and they barked at everything, it was so bad that they would bark at us walking inour own house. I love dogs and tey did take care of them, but that ain't right, I never wanted to let a persons dogs loose so bad, just for one day of peaceful sleep, I work nights.
When we are both home (my hubby works nights Sun - Wed) Affen will sleep on her bed in our room. When it's just her and I for the evening, she sleeps on the landing of our stairs so she can see out the window in our entry hall. I think she knows that she has to keep an eye on things since my husband is at work and goes "to work" herself those evenings keeping an eye on things.
Jingle Bell, my outside dog sleeps in her dog house in the winter, and right against my backdoor on our deck in the warm weather. Max and Maggie my 2 indoor doggies sleep in the bed with me and my husband, Max sleeps right up against my stomach and has since he was 6 weeks old, Maggie sleeps at the foot of the bed between our legs.
I'll start with the oldest of my pets... At night time...
Sassy sleeps on the landing at the top of the stairs. During the night she guards the house. Jumping from window to window making sure everything is okay! During the cold winter months she'll snuggle with us in bed. By the way... she's a cat.
Scooter my other cat sleeps in our room. Under the bed or behind the door. He's not much of a bed fellow! (LOL)
Now the baby out of the bunch... Turbo my 10 wk old JRT puppy. Is sleeping in his crate just until he's house broken. After that I'm sure he'll be in the bed with us! (LOL) During the day he's rather like my shadow. Following me everywhere! He's such a little tender heart.
Riley sleeps in his crate, next to my bed, by choice. I tell him its time to go to bed and thats where he runs to. He used to just sleep on the floor in my room, but ever since Jazzy came home he sleeps in the crate.
The toy poodle (Rosa) & the smaller miniature pinscher (Ruby) sleep under the covers right beside me.. both are very cold/heat intolerant lol. Sele my dalmatian mix sleeps on the bed too, usually on the other side of the 2 bed hogs or at the end of the bed. The other 5 dogs sleep in crates bc they cant be trusted not to eat cat food, tear the house apart, or potty in the house.
Kyra my golden usually sleep in my room at night. Usually on the bed with me. She loves to sleep on the top on my pillows and then lay her head on my shoulder. Sometimes she bounces all over. During the day she likes to to lay in the basement on her ortho bed.
Duchess sleeps on the front porch on her couch. Duke sleeps in his doghouse thats in his kennel. In the winter they sleep in the garage with a space heater.
The coonhounds and beagles sleep in dog houses in an outdoor kennel Run
Napoleon sleeps in his crate beside my sons bed...it was at the foot of our bed but my son wanted Nap to sleep w/ him but Nap would run around his bed and wake him up all night jumping on him and biting his toes..So my son settled to have his crate in his room so they can be roomates.
On cold nights, Bowen sleeps on the bed and knows its by our grace that he's allowed up there. If only one of is is asleep in the bed (like my husband has gone to work early or I've gotten up early) he sleeps in the bed. Otherwise he sleeps on a black comforter on the floor next to the bed. He never sleeps on my side of the bed, I move around too much.
Riddick sleeps on the floor or in his crate in our bedroom, by choice. He's never even tried to sleep on the bed. WHen I say it's bedtime he immediately goes to his crate, usually 30 min to 1 hour later, he gets up and sleeps flopped out on his back with his paws sticking up in the small walk area betwween the bed and the wall.
