I live on the east side so its just a bad storm over here and thats always a pain but try potty training . 1. attach collar and leash to dog and then to belt of human. 2. attach one end of rope to human and other end to large appliance ( a refrigerater works well) 3. now you are ready to take dog for walk. P.S. this only works for large breeds small ones tend to blow away in 100mph winds. Thought a little humor would help us HAHAHA
I live in SC on the coast and lastnight they kept having those emegecy awareness breaks on TV so I went out side and batten down the hatches , picked up and secured all the debri that can become flying projectile. I thought it was coming last night. Well not one drop of rain...but I was a day early because its pouring down out side now. It was beautiful this morning so my oldest son went fishing and hes not back yet. No cell phone reception where hes at..UUGGGHHH! I'm going to tie a lead weight around his ankle when he gets home so he cant leave again!
I went through Hugo and as long as its under a cat 3 then they're not so bad.(other than tornatoes) Well as long as your not a linemen. My brother-in law was killed working on the lines and my bestfriends brother got severely flash burned working on the lines the last storm that blew through a few weeks ago. So all you out there that complain when the lights go out ..just remember that someones loved ones are out risking thier lives keeping the power on. We should be praying not complaining.
Anyone in FL? (I'm not) But good luck if you are..... I really hope hurricane season isn't bad in October??? ANyone know? I'm getting married in October 14th and I don't want some darn hurricane to ruin my honeymoon in the Carribean!!! :-) We are going on a cruise!
He just came home..no fish but home. He said it wasnt even raining on the Edisto where he was fishing so what was I worried about. Well for starters it was raining like cats and dogs right here and the roads are terrible!DUH! If we could only be dumb, young and hansome again!LOL!. Mother Nature has her own mind , weird how it wasnt raining where he was. I'm from the old school where you turn off all the lights, AC and TV at the 1st sign of lightening and sit quietly in the dark untill its passed but now days people dont do that. The boys laugh at me worrying over every thing.(it's not funny to me though)
My mom and dad live in Florida......SOOOO glad I'm no longer there. Charlie sucked last summer, and boy did we get lucky with that one. Joe had gotten into a go-cart accident the night before Charlie was to make land fall. I had to rush him to the E.R. at midnight. I guess when a storm is nearing things get a little crazy, so there had been multiple car accidents and, people having heart attacks. We sat in the room for hours before the doctor could see Joe, and when he did he had to keep running in and out to help other patients. We made it out of the hospital at 7 that morning. Three hours later, Charlie took out the emergency wing at the hospital. It was so weird after the storm, around our house and neighborhood the only evidence of a storm was a few fallen tree limbs, five blocks away were downed power lines, billboards had been wiped out, trees on top of cars! Lmao as much as I hate hurricane season you would think I would find a better time to visit there....like maybe in the winter...nah, I'm heading down there in a few weeks :P
I hope no one missunderstands me in my last msg I made a joke over the storm but if we dont laugh we will only cry. In 04 I had a heartattack on Aug 7 I spent a week in ICU not even allowed out of bed to go to the bathroom then on aug 13 at 10:00 am they came into my room and told me I was going home. We had only lived in FL for a little over a yr, never been threw a hurricane and they sent me home to Charley Talk about a very fearfull night. Lucky we only had 1 tree come down just caught the corner of the house. And then came the other 2 storms by the end of that year I had several new gray hairs.
